Warped

Lynn POV

          Opening my eyes to Madi poking my shoulder with a grin on her face. "Car's all packed. Ready to go?" Grabbing my hand and jerking me to sit up I let out a sigh showing her I am.

         Getting up I placed my hands onto my kneecaps and pushed up standing a little lightheaded for a couple seconds. I heaved myself out the door and onto the soft ground below me. A bright sunny day out with very little clouds, the smell of the outside. I moved my hand onto my pocket and pulled off the sunglasses that hung on the edge of my pocket casually. Placing them onto my face I ran a hang through my hand getting out some little knots in it.

             Alex is letting Madi barrow his car while they drive the tour bus. I'm going to have Madi go to my place so I can grab my car. Alexa's out because it's around the time she's going to party somewhere. Opening the passenger seat door I slide in and land with a muffled thud onto the seat. Madi was already revving up the car engine up. I waved bye to Alex and Brian while Ruby hopped into the back seats.

                 "Madi can I go to my place to get my car so Alex can have his back then?"

"Sure. Where do you live?"

         I gave her the directions and sat back into the seat watching the scenery as we passed building after building.

20 minutes later

         When we arrived at my place I told Madi to park on the street with the keys behind the place while I go inside. I had forgotten my wallet here and I needed it too. I pulled out my keys and didn't see Alexa's car here so I unlocked the front door and went in.

          The house hadn't changed much since I was here but I still needed to be quick and hope she didn't move anything around. Running upstairs I looked around my room and saw my wallet, opening it to make sure everything was there and I ran over to the bed. I reached under it and pulled out a large metal box with a built in lock on it. I pulled up the mattress and pulled out a silver key. Ripping off the paper that said property of Lynn's and stuffing it into my pocket I grabbed a plastic bag and filled it up with anything else I needed.

            I ran downstairs clutching the box to myself and went outside seeing that Madi and Ruby were ready to shove our stuff into my car and I was too.

Now at Madi's house (time skip)

        We unpacked everything and settled down. I was living in Madi's basement while Ruby got the spare room. The basement was actually pretty homey and nice. Madi said I could be on the couch if I ever wanted to. I had what I needed down here and a bed. Odd that Madi had so many extra beds when she lived by herself but she said they were the previous owners stuff. There was a small bathroom down here too. I plopped down onto the bed and grabbed the box off the little table next to me.

              Grabbing the key and paper out of my pocket I crammed the key into the keyhole and twisted it hearing a click. I opened up the metal box and saw the money I had saved since I was 8. There was probably about 3,000 to 4,000 dollars in this thing. I still kept saving up in case Alexa and I wanted to ever do something with it but that's not really a use for it anymore.

                    I grabbed one of the hundreds from a stack and closed the box. Heading upstairs to where Madi and Ruby were both laying on the couch looking for something to watch on Netflix. I pulled out my phone and dialed Domino's.

"What do you guys want?" I look over to the girls on the couch.

"Whatever. It doesn't matter." Madi said.

"Can you get breadsticks?" Ruby asked.

"Of course." I pressed the call button and waited until someone answered me.

            "Can I get 2 large pepperoni and cheese pizzas with breadsticks and wings please?" I hung up the phone then and saw Madi looking at me. I knew her weakness. She loves wings and I remember her saying that. She liked the ones from Domino's the most. I flashed her a smile and sat down with them.

They began to scroll again through the horror movie section. The pizza would be here yet so I went downstairs and got into PJ's and came back up. They still hadn't picked a movie. I sat back down next to Ruby in the comfort of my jammies. My gray sweatpants with a loose muscle shirt exposing my ribs. I decided to put my glasses on for fun. The doorbell rang and I answered it to a young boy. A little bit taller than me with gingery blonde hair, blue eyes, and needs some acne cream.

"Your total is 36.79." He said his voice deep but cracking a little. I handed him the hundred and just asked for 50 back. He can keep the rest of the change there would be I guess. I balanced everything while closing the door. Madi came over to help me and we placed everything on the coffee table in front of us. I grabbed paper plates for everyone and napkins.

Sitting down again but this time next to Madi. Ruby chowed down on the breadsticks while Madi ate her wings. I ate my pizza slowly while browsing the movies. I saw a movie that looked interesting called "Dead Silence" I remember seeing a small part of it but not enough to grasp the plot.

I checked with the girls if they want to watch it and they both agreed to it. After halfway into the movie we were all close together on the couch. The movie wasn't that scary it's just how we all shifted after awhile. Madi had already fallen asleep and Ruby was getting tired too. Honestly so was I. Ruby helped pack dinner away while I cleaned up the table of plates,napkins, and anything else. Ruby turned off the TV and went to bed while I thought of what to do with Madi.

She snored softly and I slowly picked her up. She twitched every now and then but she was still asleep. I carried her gently up to bed making sure she didn't hit any walls coming up and I placed her into her bed covering her up with the sheets and blankets. I kissed her forehead without even thinking of it and said goodnight to Ruby. I headed down into the basement and laid down after putting the fifty into the box. My back instantly relaxed by touch of the mattress. I soon fell asleep.
