Warped

Lynn POV

"So that was why I had to get a dog instead of a cat but I still love my pup." Isabelle resolved her sentence with glee.

I laughed a little with a nod. We were waiting on our food outside of the restaurant at a table. I laid back against the chair more propping the back of my knees up on the arm of the chair.

A cool breeze swept across my face underneath the lens of my sunglasses. We had both ordered water while she got a slice of pizza, I ordered fries.

Faint sounds of birds up on buildings and power lines were heard over the noises of cars and people walking by talking to others. It was a relaxing day though even though it was 12:56 and lunch rush for most people was ending.

   I miss Warped honestly but I guess I need to listen to Alex and Brian and just take a break for once. With a small sigh I look up to see Isabelle sipping at her water as the waitress set my own glass down in front of me. I nodded a thank you and small smile to the waitress.

      I opened up my messages to see what the photo was that Madi sent me. It was a photo of me sleeping. Why did she take this? I looked like a wreck.

    "I heard you were on Warped Tour. Why aren't you there now?" Isabelle asked with a curious look.

  I though for a moment and a lie came quickly.

   "I wanted to just relax this summer." I replied easily.

She nodded and went back to her water. I put my phone away until my phone buzzed again. Isabelle Fuhrman Tagged you in a photo

  I'm now getting this? I open it up and see that there were already 36k likes. There were about 8k comments too.

Are they dating?

I think they are

And some other junk. It's whatever.

   I put my phone on the table and talk with Isabelle for a little more until our food came and we ate in silence with small side conversations.

  20 minutes later

"Ready to head back?" Isabelle asks as I get up of my seat grabbing my phone. With a nod I decide to pay for lunch and we head back to my car

After car drive

   I parked the car and took the keys out of the ignition. Slipping out of the car and shutting the car door with Isabelle doing the same. While we're walking a black SUV drives past us with about 2-5 people are sticking camera lenses out of the window. 2 had flash on while the other didn't.

       We keep walking at a steady pace ignoring the cameras. Now and then we'd look over and give a smile. Soon we made it to the gym door and I opened the door for Isabelle letting her pass through. Isabelle smiled a thank you and I returned with a welcome filled nod.

     Isabelle heads over to a cardio room while I head the opposite direction toward the weight room. When I wave goodbye to Isabelle I enter the weightroom to see Alex and Brian there. Brian is doing deadlift and Alex is yelling at him.

  "You hold that!" He yelled with an exhausted looking Brian scowling at him. With a large thud and clank from the weight going to the floor Brian rose back up.

   "You wanna try?" Brian asked.

"Hell no." Alex laughed.

  "Idiots. Both of you." I laughed and walked over to them.

  Brian embraced me into a hug and soon released me with a smile.

  "How have you been Debby Downer." Alex asked looking down at me. He was much taller than me.

  "I've... Better." I hesitated a bit. I was being truthful though. I've been better, distracting myself a lot though.

     "That's great. How's Madi and Ruby?" They asked with curiosity.

"They're pretty good. Hungover probably." I said.

  "Speaking over hungover." Oh no.  "There was a party that we're invited to by Oliver. It's supposed to be a huge party and we wanted you to bring Madi and Ruby." Brian said trying to sound innocent. I gave Brian a look.

  "I know we just went partying but it would be fun. There's going to be more girls at this party so maybe you'll find someone. Isabelle is going too." He said with a wink. Idiot.

  I don't even know what's going on with me and Madi. Bleh. I need to ask her about all this.

    "Maybe." That's all I could say. I mean I do like her, I'm just unsure.
