"please, valencia. please, come out," this was the fifth time her mom was knocking on her door.
her pale fragile hands held a tray of water and a sandwich for her daughter who didn't come out for three days in a row.
"you haven't taken your medicine yet either... i'm worried, valencia," she whispered as she tried to hold back her tears from falling down her tired face.
although she knocked on the door more than a several times, there wasn't any response from the other side. she sighed as she finally placed the tray in front of her doorstep and went back to her own room.
inside, valencia was in the corner of her room, her knees tight against her ribs and her bony face tucked inside the gap between them. she struggled to make an effort on forgetting about that wretched picture but it just came back to her as if it was a virus that didn't have a vaccine to get rid of it.
her old face, the way there was too much fat on her cheeks. whenever she walked, she would hate the way her stomach fat would move up and down. when she stopped and the looked in the mirror, she would be disgusted at how the inside of her thighs had an overload of fat. valencia loathed her old self.
"why..?" she choked out, grabbing a fistful of her delicate long hair.
and then she started crying once again. she wanted to be perfect, she wanted to be the person where people would stare at her with admire. she wanted to be loved by everyone. who would be so cruel enough to bring her old memories back?
taking a huge breath, with the help of the shelf next to her, valencia pulled herself up and walked to the mirror. she slowly opened her eyes and glanced at the person in front of her. she could still see the fat on her thighs, arms, stomach. everywhere. it haunted her. it made her want to rip her skin off.
it made her want to die.

"yo taehyung, what's up?" his fellow buddy, park jimin, came up next to the boy who was currently on his phone.
surprised, taehyung quickly turned off his phone and slipped it into his jacket pocket, "j-jimin, god stop scaring me like that."
jimin stared at his friend and absolutely knew he was keeping something from him because whenever taehyung had to hide something, he would always widen his eyes and stutter the first word. jimin got way too accustomed to this because of the fact that first, they lived together and second, he caught taehyung too many times trying to hide some videos that namjoon hyung suggested.
"mhmm, sure. spill it," jimin demanded, crossing his arms with suspicion.
taehyung sighed and had acknowledged that jimin was his best friend therefore would try to figure out whether he was lying or not.
"fine, i found the girl who stole my ramen and she seems interesting so i was texting her. happy?" taehyung explained as if it was no big deal.
as soon as he was done typing in his last reply, taehyung tilted his head up to see jimin's eyes bulging out of his eye sockets with worry.
"it's not that big of a dea-"
"of course, it's a big deal!" jimin shouted, taking a step back and crossing his arms.
taehyung rolled his eyes as he tried to calm him down, "i'm not going to date her or anything, jimin. hell, she doesn't even know who the fuck i am."
jimin opened his mouth but then quickly shut it.
"fine." jimin whispered before heading out the door.
