chapter 20

3 hours before

"you're progressing, miss. lee. are you sticking to the meals that we've been suggesting you?" the doctor asked, typing away on her computer.

valencia nodded and took a glance at herself in the small hand mirror next to a picture frame. her face was slightly getting fuller and she could finally see some colour return back to her cheeks. managing a small grin, she was glad that she was returning back to her old self.

ever since she lied to kim taehyung and continued on with her life, valencia thought about her fears and her illness with anna. she took a big risk and ate a little more everyday. though there were times where her past still haunted her and she still threw up the food she ate after a few moments but she was getting better. she was finally facing anna herself.

"see, i didn't need your help, kim taehyung," valencia whispered, shaking her head.

"hmm? did you say something?" the doctor questioned, raising her head from her laptop.

valencia shook her head and went back to waiting silently before the doctor handed her the usual pills.

"wait, i think you forgot my other medicine," valencia mentioned quickly before the doctor stood up.

the doctor sincerely smiled down at her and patted her head,"you don't need those anymore in your state right now."

valencia shed a tear.

as valencia walked back home with her belongings, she couldn't help but crack a smile. the words her doctor told her made her day and she couldn't wait to tell her mom the good news. when she crossed the road, valencia noticed a crowd of teenage girls in front of the sky dome stadium in their school uniforms.

"wonder what's going on?" she muttered to herself as she cocked her head slightly with curiosity.

after passing the road, she tried to get closer and overheard some of the comments made by the girls.

"can you believe that we're actually going to see bts live?"

"jeon jungkook, park jimin, and kim namjoon my baes!"

"min yoongi and jung hoseok literally my ultimate rappers."

"guys, i might even get to high five kim taehyung shut up."

valencia paused after hearing that familiar name. backing up to see whose voice that was, she noticed a trio with masks on, squealing their faces off. as she gripped her bag tightly, she made her way to them and tapped one of them on the shoulder.

"um, i heard you saying something about kim taehyung and i was wondering-"

"if you're going to talk about my oppa, just a disclaimer that he's already taken by me so."

valencia did not know how to react to that and blinked her eyes.

"um, anyway i was just going to ask if you had a picture of him or something. i'm not here to steal your 'oppa' or anything."

the teen rolled her eyes, unlocked her phone, and shoved it into valencia's face.

"there, that's my future husband," she said haughtily with her other hand on her hip.

valencia took a look at the picture and gasped. inside the picture was the boy she stole the ramen from and accidentally shared her problems with.

"wait, is kim taehyung famous?" she blurted out as a mistake.

now it was the trio's turn to gasp,"how could you not know kim taehyung?"

"he's part of the most famous idol group right now, bangtan seonyeondan!" the girl screamed, huffing.

valencia scrunched her eyebrows and processed the information given to her. kim taehyung, a kpop idol? well, she wasn't that surprised since nobody that hot just strolls around the street. thanking the girls, valencia turned around and looked up to see a gigantic poster of seven drop dead gorgeous boys, kim taehyung was included.

"should i?" valencia asked herself, twiddling with her fingers.

with a short thought, valencia took a huge gulp of oxygen and turned her direction towards the ticket booth.
