"remind me why did i decide on this again..?"

valencia gripped the ticket in her hand that she barely managed to buy because almost all of the seats were sold out. apparently, the owner of the ticket before her had a serious incident with another girl and had to return the ticket to rush to a hospital. what amazing timing. as valencia shrugged and handed the ticket for the staff to check it, she quickly was rushed inside by swarms of fangirls and ended up being pushed at the front of the standing area where the fence put pressure on her stomach.

"jesus fucking christ, why do they have to be so savage?" val whispered as she struggled to at least stand on her two feet instead of being constantly pushed around.

after minutes had passed, the lights finally dimmed and val could hear the screams and chants for their idols. a screech made val flinch with discomfort. the stage had turned on the music and immediately, val had her eyes searching for him.

the first to come up on the stage was known as kim namjoon with his sophisticated stance but the goofy eye smile, next was known as kim seokjin as he jumped up and down with a wand that looked exactly like the one the crowd held, third was min yoongi who had given a heart made with his fingers and a slight wink, fourth was jung hoseok who looked like he was super hype about everything in the world, fifth was park jimin and supposedly even though he seemed as if he was excited for the concert, val noticed that he was constantly trying to tug down his sleeves.

"wonder what's up with him?" she muttered under her breath as she tried to get a better look.

that was until the sixth walked up to the front with the rest and val covered her gaping mouth. the one that she was looking for was up on a gigantic stage with hundreds of girls swooning over him, calling out his name.

"kim taehyung.."

-

val had wiped off the tears and brushed off the dirt that remained on her knees. she glanced at the way that taehyung had left and her heart clenched tightly with regret. but after sniffing, val shook her head and with slumped shoulders, she headed back home.

"i'm really just nothing different from the past," she sighed as the cold wind hit her face.

-

taehyung had returned back to the dorm house after a long walk. he thought of everything that had happened and the memory of valencia, alive, able to breathe the same air as him. it almost seemed impossible.

"kim taehyung, you seriously need to stop ditching us and not picking up our calls," hoseok hyung scolded as his hands were on his hips.

taehyung bowed slightly and murmured a small apology before passing him and heading up to his room. once he was about to close the door, taehyung had spotted jimin, sitting on his bed.

"jimin? you okay?" taehyung asked as he approached the boy who sat there, stiff.

jimin stayed silent for a moment before turning his head to face taehyung.

"taehyung, who was that person that you were looking for earlier?"

taehyung blinked twice and gulped.

"it's no one. i was just in a hurry for the washroom."

"no, you were definitely rushing out for that girl in the audience."

"what girl?"

"valencia lee. the girl who's diagnosed with anorexia."

taehyung's whole body froze and all he could do was stare at his friend with thousands of questions.

"h-how do you-"

"i'm such a horrible person, taehyung. i think i deserve to die." jimin whispered before looking down at his fisted pale hands.

taehyung's whole body fell to the ground as he held jimin's hands. the words his fellow member had said were not supposed to come from him.

"what are you talking about jimin-ah. you're not a bad person, in fact i think you are an amazing person who-"

"taehyung-ah.. that girl you chased after, valencia lee. the girl who was normal up until high school, it was because of me she suffered. i was the one who made her end up that way."

and with that taehyung's mind cracked and the warmth of his body had drained. he slowly raised his head to meet jimin's eyes that were teary and bloodshot.

"i-i don't understand, jimin-ah. what do you mean you made her that way?"

the tears started to overflow in jimin's eyes as his lips trembled.

"i introduced her to anna."

-

"mom, i'm home!"

"i made your dinner, it's on the table. why were you out so late? the doctors appointment ended hours ago." her mother greeted, cleaning the dishes in the kitchen.

val dropped her bag on the couch and headed to the kitchen.

"i just went out for a walk, nothing special."

her mother chuckled,"i heard from the doctor earlier."

val sat down and saw the plate of salad in front of her with little croutons decorating the leaves. she picked up the fork and gulped down the glass of water that was next to the salad before digging in.

"i'm really proud of you, sweetie," her mother's soft words made her almost choke.

val turned her direction to her mother who was tearing up but with a smile on her face. val swallowed the food and grinned back. it was amazing to see her mother finally smile after all those years.

as val finished the rest of the food and placed the plate in the sink, her phone had buzzed multiple times, alarming her. she sauntered over to the table and picked up her phone only to pursue her lips at the owner of the text messages.

iwantgirlscurves30: i need to talk to you

iwantgirlscurves30: meet me in front of your house in 10 minutes

iwantgirlscurves30: it's really important

iwantgirlscurves30: but

iwantgirlscurves30: i'm still mad at you

val didn't dare to actually enter in the chat room because after that scene, it made everything just plain depressing and awkward between the two of them. she could still remember that last chat they both had where she actually had fun. val looked at the digital clock on her phone and saw that in 10 minutes, it would be 8:15 pm. she wondered, should she take the chance and go meet him again or stay inside and pretend the text messages were just all made up.

val went to grab her jacket.
