I blink sleepily. I must have fallen asleep.
Turning over I come face to face with Crow, and I become wide awake when I realize he's awake.
We stare at each other for a bit, just taking it in. I'm the first one to look away, getting to my paws and padding away.
I walk into the forest and search for a scent. I look for a few minutes but only come up with squirrels, chipmunks and tiny birds.
Sighing frustratedly I make my way to open land. I spot a few deer and carefully make my way towards them.
All of the sudden their heads shoot up, all looking in my direction. I freeze but they run off and I give up.
I am about to return home when a loud shrieking yowl comes from behind me, and then something barrels into me. The breath is knocked out of me and for a second I lie there in shock.

Then instinct kicks in and I let out a growl, blindly trying to bite at the thing. A yelp escapes me when it digs its claws into my side and clamps its jaws down on my throat. Slowly the pressure increases and I struggle to take in air.

Just as my vision starts to go dark, the pressure is gone and I gasp in a breath. Stumbling up I turn to see what had happened.

A big female mountain lion hissed at a growling black wolf.

"Crow!"

I watch in amazement as he leaps towards the cougar, knocking it over. He grabbed its neck and with a flick of his head snapped its neck.

He backed away from it panting. Finally he looked up and met my eyes, but I just gaped at him.

So I've decided that I'll be updating every Friday! Thank you so much for reading and voting!
