I awake in the same place as before. Looking down at myself, I find that my appearance hasn't changed from my vision. I feel a weight around my neck and twist to see what it is. Around my neck a string of aquamarine gems hang snugly, some dripping down to create an upside down triangle on my chest. I frown. How did I get this? Did the elder-pup give it to me?
I shake away my questions as a nagging feeling comes from the back of my mind. It grows until I can't resist the urge to run. Run far, run fast. Just run.
I start at a trot, gaining speed until my paws fly across the ground, barely touching it. It feels as if time slows but I get faster.
All of the sudden the urge drops away, leaving me feeling tired. No, exhausted. I have no idea how long I was running, but it seemed like only a few moments. I am only awake enough to notice an outcropping of rocks that makes a small cave and crawl into it, before blacking out from exhaustion.
