I led the way out of the den, stopping outside of it for Sky and Crow.
I think for a moment. There was really no way of knowing what her powers could be until they manifested, so it would be a challenge to discover them.
The first time I used mine, not counting the way I came here was hunting. Perhaps we could have Sky try that?
I slipped into the thick undergrowth, the others following me. We walked for a while before I paused. A faint rustling could be heard straight ahead. I walked forward as quietly as I could, peering out to see only a small squirrel, it's fluffy tail brushing the dead leaves on the ground.
I relaxed and stepped out, my presence ignored by the small rodent. The others moved to my side. Crow and I scented the ground, searching for anything, but Sky squealed when she saw the creature.
"It's so fluffy!" she cried, jumping in front of it. The poor animal had a heart attack and scampered away, but instead of leaving it alone, Sky took off after it, yelling for it to come back.
"Sky!" I yelled before following. There were plenty of dangerous things in this forest that a lone wolf was no match for.

The she-wolf chased the squirrel up a huge rock, where it leapt to a branch from there. It sat there watching as Sky scrambled up, confident it couldn't reach her.
Once standing under the branch, she reared up on her hind legs, reaching with her forelegs.
"Come on little squishy! Here, squishy squishy squishy!"
In a final attempt to reach the branch she jumped up a bit.
Suddenly, Sky lost her balance. Adrenaline raced through her and her eyes widened as she started to wobble. Before she knew it, she was tumbling over the edge...
And into a fast-moving river.

-sigh- I know, not only is it completely random, bad and short, but it is long overdue.
The real reason I even posted this is, I have an announcement. I must regretfully inform you that I have decided to place this book on hold.
Not only is it unfair to you as my readers to keep you waiting for an update, but as you can probably tell I've lost some of my interest in writing this book.
Now, BEFORE YOU ALL FREAK OUT; this means in NO ways at all that I will abandon this book. I am going to continue writing this book over time, but I will not be publishing anymore chapters until the book is complete.
Again, I am sorry for the chapter. I didn't want to leave you guys with nothing(I know how much that disappoints me as a reader).
And I really just want to thank all of my faithful readers for getting this far reading my book!

-With Howls,
Lusa
