CHAPTER 13 - DAY 1

13: DAY 1

PERSEUS JACKSON'S POV

Apparently Apollo grant us protection from monsters in the Madison Square Garden since some demigods might support us, we were divided into a small group.

Jason, Frank, Leo and I were on team A, called One-click Demigods or The OD; hey it was a last minute decision. Calypso and Hazel were just called as Old-school girls and I know why. Annabeth and Piper were called The Last Girls.

We were practicing for about 2 months now, the show is tomorrow. Our last rehearsal contained laughing, sweat and watching T.V

Ok we were nervous, but it was our choice that we might join, we think of it as a break from being a demigod.

"So guys, I hope Apollo will bless us for tomorrow." I said after our rehearsal, they nodded and wiped the sweat of their foreheads.

"Well, Seaweed brain. We are kicking the butts of those girls tomorrow." Annabeth said, oh. I forgot to mention that Aphrodite girl that had the affair with Josh, joined the contest to humiliate us.

"Well, Imagine if she successfully humiliate us."We laughed at the thought that the Aphrodite girl (let's call her Gertrude) humiliating us whilst holding her baby bump.

We parted ways when it was almost curfew, we did the usual thing, me walking Annabeth to her cabin. But today, I had something in mind.

"Percy, you passed my cabin." She said, confused that I continued walking and dragging her from behind. I smiled at her and turned my head back.

We stopped in the lake; I set her down on the pier and put my feet on the water. We were silent, but I guess she got impatient, "What are we doing here?" She asked. I turned to her and took a deep breath, holding the velvet box in my pocket.

"Annabeth, You know I love you..." I trailed off, Her face turned into horror, "Percy... are you....breaking up with me?" She asked. My eyes widened, "NO, never... I'm not breaking up with you wise girl" I exclaimed and held her hand.

"Oh."

"Well, I have a gift for you." I said

"What is it?" She looked at me with a curious glint in her eye. I took the velvet box out of my pocket and gave it to her.

"Percy... is that what I think it is...?" She asked again, My eyes widened for the second time , "No! We are too young to marry..." I answered quickly and blushed.

"Open it." I said, she nodded and opened the box. She gasped as she saw a silver ring with little emeralds surrounding it, Seaweed Brain and Wise Girl were engraved in the back of the ring. She got teary-eyed and kissed me, she pulled away and wore the ring, admiring it. We smiled and went back to the cabins.

We were quite nervous, we were the last ones to perform, Old-School girls as the third to the last and The Last Girls were second to the last. Since we were some late entries

We sucked our breaths when the Old-school girls were called, we wished them good luck. They smiled and took off to the stage.

"LET'S WELCOME OLD-SCHOOL GIRLS!" A voice boomed. Cheers erupted from the stadium as the music started.
