"Why are we in Ohio?" Percy asked again when no one answered him the first time.

"Percy please don't get upset." Sally said pleadingly.

"Why would I be upset? We're only hundreds of miles in the wrong direction." Percy added sarcastically.

Next it was Paul who spoke up in an attempt to calm the boy down. "This is for you Percy. We thought it would be best if we got you out of New York for a while."

"What makes you think I would be any safer in Ohio than I was in New York?" Percy rebutted back. It was clear that he was getting angry, and Sally didn't want him to completely hate them for kidnapping him.

"Percy, I know you wanted to go to camp all year, but I really feel like you need to finish your senior year of school. Since you've basically blocked out all of the gods, I didn't want you to be in New York anymore."

Percy silently listened to her explanation but was still very angry. He didn't want to go to school, he wanted to go to camp.

"Well you can't always get what you want!" Sally shouted back, scaring Percy out of his thoughts. Did he say that aloud? "This is what I want you to do. Is it too much for you to do something I want? Gods Percy, I lost you for all of last year! I'm not going to loose you for another!"

Both Percy and Paul stayed silent. They had never seen Sally blow up like that. This must of really meant a lot to her.

"Okay." Percy said carefully. "I will endure hell for you."

Sally smirked at his little joke and turned the car onto a street full of houses.

Percy had never seen such nice houses before. They all had big yards and gardens out front. Percy couldn't even imagine what the back yards looked like. "Mom, are we going to live in one of these houses? How can we afford it?"

"Well, we can't." She said shortly as she pulled into the driveway of one of the bigger houses on the street. "I have made arrangements for us to live with some people. They're a really nice family with a big house. They were more than willing to let us stay here for the school year."

"What kind of family" Percy said as Sally turned off the car.

"It's a mother and her daughter, I believe. The father doesn't live with them anymore and some of the older girls are at college." She said before getting out of the car.

Percy took a moment to look at the house again. It was really big, at least three stories, and the white picket fence that surrounded the yard was freshly painted. Percy smiled when he noticed that the house was painted a soft shade of blue. Yeah, Percy could live here.

As Paul and Percy got out of the car, they all turned around at the sound of the front door swinging open and closed. A blonde haired woman about Sally's age walked out to greet them. Behind her, the door opened again revealing another girl. This girl was about the same age as Percy, with shoulder length hot pink hair.

Percy didn't know what to make of her before the motherly lady reached them and smiled enthusiastically.

"Hi. It's so nice to meet you! I'm Judy Fabray, and this is my daughter Quinn." She said with a smile as she went around to shake everyone's hand. Quinn stayed back but waved a hello when everyone looked at her.

Sally smiled as she introduced herself before she turned towards Percy and Paul. "This is my son Percy and my husband Paul. Thank you so much for letting us stay with you. I cant even begin to tell you how grateful we are."

"Nonsense. We are happy to have you. Please, come on in!" She turned back to look at her daughter. "Quinny, please help them with their bags."

Quinn watched her mother make introductions. She looked over each one of the three in silence. The woman, Sally, seemed nice enough. Her mom would get along great with her. Paul had a teacher vibe going on, kind of like Mr. Schue. Quinn turned to look at the boy.

He was very good looking, she decided that instantly. He had messy black hair and very tanned skin. She began to think that he spent a lot of time outdoors. As she looked over his skin she noticed how muscular he was. He was wearing some camp shirt, but you could see the well defined curves of muscle that were hidden underneath it. There was some sort of tattoo on the inside of his wrist too, Quinn couldn't quite make out what it was. As she continued to look him over, she stopped when she found his eyes. They were a beautiful green that seemed to ripple like waves. She also noticed that they looked a little broken. Before she could dwell too much on them her mother brought her back into the conversation.

"Quinny, please help them with their bags."

Without a word she went around the car and opened the back door. The boy, Percy, appeared beside her.

"Hi." He said as he grabbed some of the bags. Quinn grabbed what was left and turned to face him.

"Hi." She said without emotion. The boy seemed nice enough, but she didn't really get a vibe from him that said she needed to play nice. He held himself with a confidence that made her think that he could easily hold his own. She turned to head back inside and Percy followed behind her.

"I like your hair." He said in what Quinn assumed was an attempt at conversation. "But I think it would look better blue."

Quinn couldn't help but smirk at his comment as she went inside the house.
