The morning went by very slowly for Percy. He sat in study hall with nothing to do first block. He was happy to have Puck in his study hall, but he also had Santana. Percy wasn't completely sure how he felt about her yet. Math was terrible. His dyslexia made the numbers float up off the text book pages and dance around inside his head. There was a moment when he actually had to rest his head on his desk in order to stop the spinning effect. He ended up staying and talking to the teacher when the class was over to tell her about his problems with the class. The elderly looking lady was rather kind, much to Percy's surprise, and offered to help him in any way that she could.
Percy walked to lunch a little late due to his chat with the math teacher. When he walked into the cafeteria, it was to find many kids dancing on tables and a band playing in one corner. Percy watched in amazement as Kurt, Puck, Rachel, Santana, and a bunch of other kids sang a song and danced in front of the entire student body. In his mind, Percy connected the singing to the infamous Glee Club he had heard so much about. He stood in the doorway and just watched the performance. He had to admit, while Rachel was pretty annoying, she could sing. He was impressed as the number came to a close and everyone that was singing went to stand my the band. Percy wanted to clap and cheer for the group. His cheer got caught in his throat by the sound of Jacob Ben Israel's shrill voice.
"Food fight!"
Mass chaos. That was the only way to describe it. Percy found that he was grateful to have stayed by the entrance. The minute food started whizzing through the air he ducked out of the cafeteria and watched on in silent shock.
He felt really bad for the glee kids. He stood in horror as he saw Kurt try to hide behind a food tray and Rachel stand frozen in the middle of it.
Percy decided to walk away from the scene for the time being.

Percy walked out of his economics class and headed down the hallway towards his locker. He smiled a little when he looked up and saw Kurt walking in his direction. It was clear that he had changed out of his spaghetti stained clothes and into some fresh ones. Percy hadn't had any classes with him that day, but he hesitated to say hi when he saw him talking with a brown haired boy that he had never seen before. They appeared to be in the middle of a conversation, and as Percy watched, the new boy stopped walking and raised his hands in the air as he spoke to Kurt. Percy wasn't able to hear what was being said because he was too far down the hall, but he watched as Kurt turned around to face him, and then only a couple seconds later practically jump into his arms.
Percy was confused and a little surprised. He had no idea who the kid was, but for some reason he had just made Kurt really happy. Percy continued walking towards them until he was finally within hearing distance. Kurt had yet to release the bowtie wearing boy from the enormous hug when Percy finally got the urge to speak.
"Hey Kurt. Who's this?" Percy said as politely as he possibly could. Kurt finally loosened his hold but he didn't really move away from him like Percy thought he would. Instead, Kurt remained by the stranger's side and leaned into him a little.
"Good morning Percy." Kurt quickly glanced at Blaine and saw that he was eyeing Percy with just as much confusion as Percy was eyeing Blaine. "You two haven't met yet. Blaine, this is Percy Jackson. He just moved her a couple days ago. Percy, this is my boyfriend Blaine."
Percy blanched at the term 'boyfriend' and gave Blaine a good look up and down. He was slightly shorter than Kurt, but much more muscular. His dark brown hair was oddly gelled back smoothly with little curls that stuck out at the nape of his neck. Percy wanted to smirk when he more closely analyzed the bowtie he wore and the sunglasses that laid at his hip. He watched as Blaine outstretched his hand with a small smile fixed on his face.
"It's nice to meet you." He said as Percy shook his hand. Kurt clapped his hands happily.
"I can not believe you're transferring to McKinley!" Kurt all but squealed, drawing many stares from people as they passed. "All we have to do now is find a way to ease you into the New Directions." At Percy's confused and questioning look, Kurt further explained. "That's the name of our Glee Club."
Percy nodded in understanding. At the mention of the Glee Club, Percy smiled widely. "You guys were amazing in the cafeteria earlier! I really enjoyed it!"
Kurt smiled happily again. "Really? I didn't see you there. How did you avoid the flying food?" He said as he inspected Percy's clean shirt and pants.
"I was standing by the doorway. I ran out of there pretty fast when things went crazy." Kurt smiled again and then he glanced at Blaine. Blaine took that as his cue.
"I already have that figured out." He said as he referred to Kurt's previous statement.

Percy was amazed by the talent at William McKinley High School. Blaine was a really good singer. He stood with Kurt and Rachel at the bottom of the staircase in the court yard and watched on in awe as Blaine killed his audition number.
He, along with everyone else in the courtyard, was flabbergasted when the piano caught on fire. Percy kind of figured that he should take that as a sign and be done with the day. He had no more classes and he didn't really want to talk to Quinn so Percy grabbed his backpack out of his locker and started walking back to the Fabray's house.
Percy didn't mind walking. He was able to get lost in his thoughts for a little while as he walked and as cars passed him by.
He remained in his own little world until he passed an alleyway and heard the rattle and bang of garbage cans being tipped over. Out of curiosity and worry that it might be a monster, Percy started to walk down the dark alley. He pulled a pen out of a pocket in his jeans and gripped it tightly.
As he walked farther down the alley, Percy started to gently kick cans out of the way. He finally reached the back wall, confused as to what had made all of the noise. There was only one garbage can left standing in the farthest back corner, and as Percy looked at it, it moved.
Percy uncapped his pen and Riptide fully formed in front of him. He slowly inched forward until he was directly in front of the can. Hesitantly, he leaned forward and looked down into the garbage.
Two giant eyes stared back at him.
It's furry face and big round body made it look kind of cute.
It meowed up at him.
Percy wanted to laugh. So he did. He laughed for a good ten minutes before he finally pulled the cat out of the garbage can and looked for it's tags. The name tag read 'Lord Tubington' on it and left Percy even more confused.
Maybe it was a monster in disguise? Percy tried to think of all of the possibilities but inevitably got to the same conclusion.
It was just a fat cat.
Percy set the cat back on the ground and walked out of the alley way. He turned and started back in the direction of home again.
When he got there, he found Quinn sitting on the porch steps as if she was waiting for him.
"Hi." She said some what nervously. Percy didn't really know what to say so he just stood there. She seemed as if she wanted to say more, but she never got any words out when she opened her mouth.
Percy hated feeling mean, but there wasn't really anything he wanted to say to her at the moment. Instead, he just walked past her on the porch steps and entered the house.
He wanted something to eat and then he wanted to go to bed. It had been a long day.
