"I feel like we could have a lot in common Percy." Brittany said from the other side of the lunch table. Percy glanced up from his slice of pizza to look at her. It had been a long morning and Percy had been struggling to focus on anything other than Quinn's proposition from earlier. He smiled kindly at the blonde.

"Oh yeah? Like what Brittany?"

She smiled shyly as she glanced at Santana beside her. "You seem athletic. What sport do you play?"

"I don't really play a sport, but I love to swim." Percy said in response. He had the whole table's attention once again as everyone listened to further get to know the new guy.

"You should join the swim team then." Kurt said from where he sat on Percy's right. Percy looked towards him, only to smile when he saw him holding Blaine's hand under the table.

When Percy didn't respond to Kurt's suggestion, Puck nudged his shoulder from his left to get his attention. "I think you should too. You'll get a varsity jacket and everything."

Percy tried to smile but it was forced. "I don't really care about status, Puck."

Santana snorted. "Well you should. Status is everything here. I don't know how things were in New York City, but here, you need to bring your A-game."

Puck nodded in agreement. Percy was slightly annoyed. He honestly didn't care about varsity jackets or titles. He just wanted to finish his senior year and get the hell out of Ohio. He remembered back to last year as everyone around him returned to previous conversations. He had gotten through half of his senior year of high school before being kidnapped by Hera. When he had gotten back home after the long quest through Europe, he had missed the rest of the year and was unable to just pick up where he had left off. This resulted in Percy's decision to just go to camp for the year. Sadly, his mother had a different plan for him.

Percy found that he had no problem thinking about how much he missed the city and Camp Half-Blood. He also had to admit that Lima wasn't as bad as he had previously thought it would be.

"Percy." Kurt said rather loudly in order to get his attention. Percy's head snapped to attention immediately. Kurt couldn't help but chuckle at the comedy of it. "I was just saying that if you really don't want to do a sport, you could always be in the New Directions."

Percy watched as around the table, everyone's head nodded in unison. He found it a little creepy actually. Percy cleared his throat and shook his head before he spoke. "Maybe. I'm not sure yet. I don't want to get you guys' hopes up." He added when both Kurt and Brittany started to shake with excitement. "I think I want to get adjusted to the school a bit more before I decide anything."

"So are you thinking about joining the swim team?" Puck said as he took a bite out of an apple. He continued to chew it as he spoke again. "If you're worried about doing both, don't. I play football and do glee at the same time. It's pretty manageable."

Percy nodded as he continued to think. Joining the swim team didn't sound too bad, and if he joined the Glee Club, then Quinn would join too. Percy was worried though. He feared that if he joined too many things, or if people started to rely on him, he might have to disappoint them when the whole concept of going to school blew up in his face. There could be a monster attack at any second, thus putting an end to all of the things he wanted to do his senior year.

"Stop Percy."

Percy looked up in confusion, only to find everyone else giving Brittany the same expression. "You need to stop worrying about stuff. Your thinking too hard. I don't want to watch your head explode."

Everyone was silent until Blaine said the obvious response. "What?"

Brittany nodded as if it was obvious. "If you think to much, your brain overloads and explodes. It's like a computer, but a lot messier."

Percy and the people around him stared in shock as the pretty blond smiled confidently.

After a moment of silence, Percy couldn't help but laugh loudly, thus startling the people around him. He had really needed a laugh in that moment. He was once again reminded that Lima, Ohio wasn't that bad.
