my eyes blink open. I see a white ceiling and hear a beeping from my right ad talking from my left. I was in a hospital bed. "shes awake" I looked to the people talking. it was the girl who said her name was Claire, and the boy who I gave an umbrella to, also a doctor stood there with a clip board. "hi zoe, how are you feeling? im doctor falcon" he said. "where's mommy?" I asked searching around. "mommy is not here" falcon said, "tell me where mommy is!" I screamed. "shes not here anymore" falcon said. "mommy! mommy! where are you!" I screamed until my voice became hoarse.

"she's going to need someone to live with. here she'll just panic, I want to discharge her asap" falcon said. "ill take care of her" Claire said, "you just need to sign a few papers, Michel watch her" the two adults left. "your mother is dead so is your sister and dad" Michel said to me, I looked up at him and shook my head "no no no no no!" I shook my head. Michel walked to my bed side and grabbed my shoulders. "nothing can change that, crying doesn't help if you want to do something find the person who did this and take action"

I looked up at Michel tears in my eyes. "michel don't be so rough with her" I heard Claire say. I looked at her she smiled "sorry about him I guess you two will just have to get used to each other" she walked around my bed "ill call someone to bring your stuff to my place" Claire said. I nodded "ooh she's cuute!" a 9 year old Lucifer bounced in the room. I blushed and whimpered pulling the sheets closer to me. "Lucifer please don't scare her" michel sighed, "mawww can I give her a hug!"

"that depends..." michel said. I pulled the blanket to my lips and squeezed my eyes shut, I heard footsteps. without my permission, I was hugged. "maw just too cute!" he said I tried to wriggle out of his grip shaking my head. "Lucifer, off now" I heard Claire say. Lucifer let go of me his violet eyes starring down at me, his grin turned to a look of sympathy before his hand landed on my head, petting it softly. I flinched away from his touch and fell out of the bed.

I heard the clash of machines falling and a pull at the iv on my wrist. michel knelt down and detached the iv. "are you ready to go home" he asked softly, I nodded my head and Claire walked over lifting me up. I curled myself up to her chest and squeezed my eyes shut. I felt her walk and soon ended up outside. I opened my eyes at feeling air hit my face, we reached a police car. I was put in the back next to Lucifer. I shut my eyes again and felt my head fall to the side and hit lucifers shoulder.

I instantly moved over, resting my head on the window instead. "that was ok" Lucifer said offering a small smile. I looked away closing my eyes, they reopened and I saw the world fly by. until the car stopped in front of a brick mansion. Claire and michel got out of the car Claire opened the door and lifted me out of the car. she walked to the doors with me over her shoulder. the inside was huge, a high ceiling and a chandeler. a grand piano sat to the left.

"well then, michel your sleeping on the couch tonight" Claire said. michel rolled his eyes "zoe you can sleep in his bed" she said "fir now do you want anything to eat?" I shook my head. "just get her a milkshake" michel said peering back at me as he walks up the steps. I looked up at Claire who was smiling "do you want a milkshake?" she asked, I nodded my head. "great, Lucifer go" Lucifer grinned with a nod, "strawberry" I heard michel yell down the steps. I couldn't help the small laugh. Lucifer walked out of the room.

"for now lets get you some cloths" Claire said. I let her walk upstairs, reaching the top she made a right and a left. I looked into a door and saw a pink room with a ribbony bed it was pink with teddy beers everywhere. I pointed at it Claire frowned "I had a miscarriage, that was supposed to be my daughters room" she didn't have a miscarriage that was a lie, her daughter was killed in a car accident when she was 9. Claire walked into the room and placed me on the bed. it was soft.

"now..." Claire went through the wardrobe. "here we go" she pulled out a white night gown and I changed quickly. "thank you..." I said quietly. Claire sat on the bed "so where did you move from?" Claire asked. I shook my head and barried my head in the pillows, "sorry sweaty, don't answer that" Claire said petting my head, "you look exhausted you should get some rest. im sure Lucifer wont be back for hours considering its him" I nodded my head and snuck under the covers. the bottom one was soft. I tugged at it and pulled it to my chin. claire smiled at me and walked out of the room. I closed my eyes and couldn't help but fall asleep.

my eyes opened and it was dark out, I heard a piano. I slid out of the bed and landed on all 4's. I crawled to the door and pushed it open following the beautiful song. I regnized the song instantly it was Morning Light by sean besson. I crawled to the steps and looked down. michel sat on a bench, fingers dancing over the keys making soft sounds. I closed my eyes leaning against the pole. "zoe you can come down here you know" I heard michel say. my eyes opened and I looked down michel starred up at me.

I crawled down the stairs and next to the piano. michel helped me sit down next to him on the piano, he started playing again and I watched as his fingers danced on the keys. I put my hand on the white keys and followed the notes shyly. "you play piano?" he asked I nodded my head and touched eac key delicately. I smiled and the song ended,

meanwhile Claire stood at the doorway watching us while sipping tea. of course we didn't know that.
