the angel and the city

my eyes fall open. I shoot up in the bed, I was in a hotel room. my hand landed on my stomach, no bandages. I pulled my shirt up, a scar sat there next to the tattoo. I chewed on my lip and looked at the door, I slid out of bed and stumbled momentarily. my feat where shaking once they hit the carpet, I walked to the door of the room and unlocked it. I pushed it open and looked down the hallway, "hello?" I called. the door in front of me opened and I jumped slightly, it was just Lucifer. "so your up?" he said.

I nodded my head, "whatever stabbed me I couldn't heal from it" I said "where is the dagger?" I asked next. "I have it" Lucifer said and I followed him into his room, it was neat, the suite case was on the bed, cloths overflowing from it. Lucifer walked to the dresser and went in one of the drawers, when he got up, he held the dagger in his left hand. I held my hand out, he placed it in my hand I examined it, a rose was engraved "its the-" I started "same design that was on the one Claire threw at you" Lucifer finished.

on the other side was the snake symbol that is imprinted on my side. "the people chastity came from, the darkness... they are connected to my parents- and kyles- deaths." I said, Lucifer took something out of his pocket and handed it to me. I examined it, it was an invitation to a party? I looked up from it at Lucifer. "Michel is some how connected to this because that symbol is on this. I don't know why we where invited" Lucifer said.

"and your saying we should go?" I asked. he nodded his head, "fine when is it?" I asked. "three days from now" Lucifer answered, "good then we have time to check out the I heard building Michel is supposedly working in" I said, Lucifer nodded his head on agreement. "oh your finally awake I thought I heard voices" I turned to look behind Lucifer. a naked women stood there collecting her clothes. "oh umm zoe... meet Felicity, feli this is my partner zoe" he said awkwardly, felicity smiled at me and walked up to me, sticking out her hand. "nice to meet you zoe" she said, I shook her hand '"you too..." I said looking around.

"im goona leave you two alone" I said and headed back to my room, my nails dug deep in my palm. I opened the door and walked to the window ceil. I sat on it, oh look it even rains in new York city. I starred outside. "don't worry im not going anywhere" Lucifer you promised I thought. you promised you wouldn't leave me... my fingers felt for a button that sent the window open. I slid out and let my wings expand behind me.

rain droplets hit my face, they got in my eyes and fell down my cheeks. my hands balled up into fists, I then remembered one key thing. I cant fly in the rain. next thing I knew I was falling, I let it happen and closed my eyes. next thing I knew I fell into an abyss of darkness.

my eyes open again and I see white. "ki, she's up" a female voice said, I looked around am I in heaven? I thought "w-where am I?" I asked and sat up. the female had long black hair, with bangs parted to the side, pale skin, and strikingly firmiliar blue eyes. "my name is hope, this is one of my friends ki, we saw your fall and saved you" the girl said with a smile. "umm thank you... my name is zoe" I said. "I know" the girl said "I mean I don't mean to sound creepy but your kind of popular around here" I sat up and looked around. I was in an apartment, hopes voice all of a sudden lost its cheerfulness "do you work with Michel?" my eyes bolted up and I shook my head wildly. "how do you know who he is?" I asked.

"he's my enemy" she said in a dark tone. I slid out of bed, my wounds where all healed. "is one of you um..." I trailed off. "both of us actually ki has better healing then I do though" she said with a smile. "so we have the same enemy" I said, hope nodded her head "I guess so... do you want to work together?" she asked. "yeah... I think we could use more force" I said, "but theres something I have to do on my own" I said quietly, starring out the window. "you should lie back down that fall really inured you..."

I laid back and it seemed right when my head hit the pillow once again, I was asleep
