When a cat is too old or severely wounded, they may become an elder. The warrior retiring may request to retire or physically be too old to do their normal warrior quotas. Normally the leader will call a clan meeting for the ceremony, but if the cat is retiring due to a wound there is no ceremony. - A Lost Soul
