Ch. 11
“Are you going to ignore me forever?” Zane whines after the various attempts to get me to talk to him. I smile because he sounds like a begging dog, no offense to his kind or anything, but it’s been really amusing watching him fumble for attention. Seeing as he teased me viciously, ok I’m being dramatic, but it’s my form of payback.
Zane shifts in his seat and groans; I on the other hand, examine my nail beds with the upmost interest. He’s been uncomfortable since he started trying to pry words from my mouth and not succeeding. I’m not about to crack! I’m resilient in these situations and I’m in no way persuadable when I get into one of these moods. Hell it’s been well over three hours and I haven’t said a single word. I hear a light tapping coming from the driver’s side and I peek over to see what it is.
Zane sits quietly with a small smirk displayed snidely across his features as he taps his fingers against the steering wheel. Hmm, I see he thinks ill crack under the pressure. Idiot doesn’t know who he’s messing with. I start humming loudly, very off key, and to nothing in particular, just to see if he would get the hint. To my surprise he did, and to think I pondered with the idea that he was small minded and egotistical; sure proved me wrong didn’t he…
He starts to full on smack the wheel and thump his knee against the door … I’m guessing in attempt to one up me and drown out the horrible noises coming from my throat. Unlike him I wasn’t gifted with the angelic softness to my voice, instead I got the cracked, off key, ugly horse like rhythm that flows oh so broken like. And I use it to the best of my abilities! I sing, or what I call singing, the wonderful song that just now popped into my devious brain.
Don't cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me?
Don't cha wish your girlfriend was a freak like me?
Don't cha?
Don't cha?
Don't cha wish your girlfriend was raw like me?
Don't cha wish your girlfriend was fun like me?
Don't cha?
Don't cha?
Oh I feel highly accomplished as his face morphs from a look of amusement to a look of confusion. But then the gleam in his eye tells me he’s not giving up either; shits going to get complicated… I fold my arms, like a small child would, in defiance. I can’t believe he’s being so stubborn! That’s my thing.
…Fight the feeling
Leave it alone
'Cause if it ain't love
It just ain't enough to leave my happy home
Let's keep it friendly
… He rubs his hand down his stomach and smirks at me. Me being the adult I am, I stick my tongue out at him and he continues to sing…
You have to play fair
See I don't care
But I know she ain't gonna wanna share… he looks at me like I’m the she he’s referring too.
His eyes are sparkling with mischief as he licks those plump lips of his. I see he’s taking to taunting and sexual manipulation… sick prick… two can play at that game! I reach for the hem of my tank top and am about to move to pull it above my head when I hear a deep rumble of laughter fill the air. I stop, still contemplating on if I should just bare my goodies, but decide against it. I don’t even know what I was thinking when I came up with this idea! I have morals to uphold!
