/2 years later/

It's been two years already.

Raising Matty all by myself has been unexplainably difficult.

I would be lost without the help from my parents and friends.

Denis and I have not shared one word since the rough ending. I've blocked him on everything. The first few months he sent child support and got to see Matty on Fridays and Sunday's. Then it stopped.

He got back with Dasha and all the attention he gave to his son disappeared.

I moved into a new home, after realising my old home was too big for just two people. I now live in a beautiful apartment, with large windows that look over the beautiful city of Los Angeles.

My 23rd birthday had just passed. Matty just had his second birthday part too, time is going by way too fast. He's such a precious little boy. The kindest kid you would ever meet.

He's getting the hang of walking, mostly grabbing onto the sofa and wobbling. It's adorable.

He pronounces his words with a slight 'W' due to his age, but oh my he is the cutest child. I couldn't ask for a better life right now.

I managed to get myself a job working as a maid in a hotel. The hours are long but the money is great. My mom watches Matty mostly everyday from 9am until 10pm. I'm so lucky for her support.

Speaking of work, I have it today. Which is why I'm in the hell hole right now.

Cleaning gross sex infested bed sheets after old men or famous douche bags had their one night stands on the beds. I'm left to clean them and replace them with new sheets.

The uniform just consisted of black pants and a black shirt. I just wore black skinny jeans and a black long sleeved turtleneck with my name badge clipped onto the side. At Least the uniforms weren't all that ugly, I guess.

It's currently 9:45 and I only had fifteen minutes left of my agonisingly long shift, then I get to go collect my baby boy.

I was currently at the main desk, chatting with one of my close work friends, Rose. She was in her late twenties, with long ash grey hair and plump lips. I always questioned if they were fake. It's la, so they were most likely fillers.

"So what are your plans after work?" She asked, pushing her glasses into her hair.

"The usual." I yawned. "Pick up Matty then bring him home and make myself a microwave dinner. You?"

She chuckled at my response. "Exciting. I've gotta go meet up with the boyfriend, so I guess we've both got boring nights ahead."

I giggled. "You got that right."

I always envied Rose just that little bit, she was beautiful. Could get any man she wanted, had a positive outlook on life and always had the best of the best outfits.

"God these hours are draining me." I groaned as I checked the clock. Just five more minutes to go. But as I said, the money is great. 20 dollars an hour. Sounds insane, but this was the most recommended, 5 star hotel in LA.
Making $260 a day was amazing.

I made $1,300 for the five days a week. Who wouldn't want the job?

"Tell me about it." She sighed. "I have another hour to go."

"Oh my. Good luck" I chuckled.

"I'm gonna need it. I've had enough prissy woman order me around today for not being quick enough checking them in."

"Bitches." I tutted.

She giggled. "Ugh. Literally."

Finally the time came where I got to go home. I checked myself out with my staff card and exchanged goodbyes with Rose before leaving the building and walking towards my Range Rover.

I made a quick trip to the McDonalds drive through before heading to my moms place. Id be totally lying if I said I wasn't devouring French fries whilst driving. Working makes me so hungry.
I question my slim figure due to the fact I put food away.

I finally reached my moms house. Walking inside to see Matty playing on the ground with his trucks.

"Hey buddy!" I grinned widely. He was the highlight of my day.

"Mama home!" He giggled, clapping his tiny hands. Reaching out for me to pick him up as I did so.

"I missed you Matty! I hope you've been good for grandma."

He nodded quickly.

"Hey honey." My mom smiled warmly.

"Hey mom. I hope he was okay for you. Thanks so much for doing this again." I sighed. Bouncing Matty up and down as he cackled loudly.

"Lana I've told you dear, it's no problem. He was a pleasure to watch. Such a good child."

"Here one sec." I said, reaching into my bag to give her some money.

"Hey put the cash away, crazy woman. I'm family this is free! I enjoy watching him" she groaned.

"But-"

"Hush!" She smiled. "You keep it."

"Are you sure? I feel so bad." I sighed.

"Honey don't. It really wasn't a problem." She said, hushing me once more.

"God what would I do without you." I grinned.

I chatted and had some tea with my mom before I decided it was extremely late, way past Mattys bed time.

When I reached the apartment Matty was out cold. I turned off the car before picking him up and walking towards our home.

Today has been hectic, and I've gotta do it all again tomorrow. Kill me now.

I got inside, carefully carrying Matty to bed. "Night baby boy." I whispered before pecking his cheek and walking into my bedroom, throwing a large shirt over me and tying my hair up loosely before making my way to the kitchen.

I poured myself a glass of wine and switched on the tv. Finally. Time to relax.

The city lights were beautiful, perfectly observable from the large window.

I never knew I'd make it this far all by myself and at such a young age.

I'm proud that I'm doing this without the help from Denis Shaforostov.
