Fuck.

The suspense has been killing me these past few days.

Ever since I heard Denis say he had bought a ring, I have been extremely nervous.

What type of ring? Why? For me? Shit.

I love Denis with all my heart, but God it was a shock to hear that.

"A ring."

I already have the princess ring he had bought me, so I have an idea of what this one could be.

It's not the fact that I don't want to, I think it's the fact that I ruined the whole 'surprise' behind it.

I know it's coming, it's just a matter of when.

Denis has been acting like his usual self, I've been trying to act normal too. Even though my head is spinning with questions.

Does he really want me? Forever?

Denis is way too good for me.

"Babe? Are you awake?" Denis whispered, pulling me closer.

"Mhm. What's up?"

"Can we go see Matty soon? I know tour is still going and all but I kinda miss him."

"Aw, Den." I smiled, "of course."

"I can't wait to spend as much time as possible with him, for real this time. I can't sleep because I just keep thinking of the whole family idea."

Shit.

"O-oh. It'll all be fine Denis. We're happy and Matty will be happy. That's all we need." I whispered, turning around to him.

The dim lighting made it hard to see his face.

"Of course it will be fine, you have me now." He smirked.

"Shut up." I chuckled.

"How do you feel about going out tomorrow night?" He asked.

"I'd love to, but why?"

Why the fuck did I have to listen and ruin this for myself?

Denis frowned, followed with a shrug. "I just want to take you out is all, you've never questioned it."

"I- I know. I was just wondering."

"Oh alright, pick you up at eight." He smirked.

"We basically live together." I snickered. "More like see you at 8."

"Shut up. Go to sleep." He chuckled, kissing me lightly.

"Night night." I smirked.
------

I slipped on my shoes and overlooked my outfit in the mirror. I decided to wear one of my new dresses.

It felt strange, knowing that I might be proposed to tonight. I feel so bad for listening.

"Well well well, you look amazing babe." Denis smirked.

"As do you." I blushed.

"Are you ready?" He asked, observing me again.

I nodded, "lets go."

I could already tell Denis was nervous, his palms were sweaty, he was shaking.

I don't know what to do.

Do I tell him I know?
Or, do I act surprised? Shit.

Denis led us out of the crammed bus before we began walking down a long road, eventually leaving us at a pier.

"For once we're parked up somewhere pretty." I chuckled, the blue sky illuminated the dark ocean. Everything was so pretty and dim lit.

"I know right? Usually it's near somewhere gross."

"Yeah."

"Yeah."

Silence took over in no time, usually it wouldn't bother me. This time was different, I'm pretty sure our minds were going crazy.

I know mine was.

"Well, you uh- you wanna sit?" Denis said, sitting down on the edge of the boardwalk.

I nodded before sitting down beside him.

I rested my head on Denis's shoulder, looking out at the dark blue ocean that rippled every so often.

"Denis." I mumbled.

"Mhm?"

"What would you do if you knew something- that could be really bad, but you don't know what to do so you kinda just- well, not say anything." I muttered.

I could feel him tense. Hopefully he doesn't think I know.

"Why? What are you talking about."

"Oh- just a friend." I blurted. "I just, I heard her say something and- well I shouldn't know."

"Lana." Denis warned, I lifted my head.

"What?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Nothing. Never mind. Anyways, isn't the ocean so prett-"

"You fucking listened didn't you."

"Huh? To what?" I panicked

"You know what."

"I don't."

"Just admit it! Everything is ruined now!" He huffed.

"Fuck." I groaned, "I wasn't expecting-"

"Fuck this. Tonight was supposed to be special!"

"It can be!"

"No it can't! You've ruined it."

I frowned. "Whatever, I'm going back to the bus."

I arose to my feet and stormed off.

"Wait Lana!" Denis called, grabbing my wrist.

"What!" I snapped as soon as we faced one another.

"I don't care if tonight wasn't special- fuck I just wanted everything to be perfect. This is our forever, I don't care about the right way of doing things. All I care about is you saying yes and me being the lucky bastard that gets to spend the rest of my life with you. I'm a stubborn fuck but I don't care, I want you to be mine forever, before you realise you're too damn good for me. Marry me?"

The lump in my throat had increased tremendously.

Denis had officially proposed.

Proposed.

"Say something please." He begged.

"I-I, Yes." I said with shaking hands, tears threatening to overspill.
