   KIANNA'S POV

When I turned around, I bumped into Lex Luthor and quickly apologized to him.

Lex Luthor said to me,"It's no problem, miss. I'm Lex Luthor."

I smiled at first, but something just felt off here. Why it felt this way, though? I couldn't figure that out.

I double blinked, but I sent him a weak smile politely saying to him,"I should go. It was nice meeting you, Mr. Luthor."

Luthor shook my hand and said,"Please call me...Lex. What is your name?"

Even after feeling like something was off, I still told Lex what my name was. I was so smart.

Lex kissed my hand and smirked saying,"Until we meet again, Kianna. I must go check on the company."

I immediately nodded and walked away. Ughh, why would I do that? Why would I do that? I brought Lois and I's food back to the table. I placed Lois' food in front of her and slowly sat down eating my food.

Lois sent me a worried look and asked me,"Everything all right, Ki?"

I waved it off and said,"Yeah, I just bumped into Lex Luthor and told him my name, too. Nothing major."

Lois tensed at hearing Lex Luthor's name.

Lois leaned over and held my hands saying,"Please don't get involved with him, Ki!! Lex Luthor is a very dangerous man, and he will do whatever it takes to get to Superman. Understand?"

I nodded and replied to Lois,"I understand. So, do you like the food? I'm not normally one for party food, but this...this is pretty good."

I stuck a fry in my mouth, and Lois giggled at my comment.

I felt hands on my shoulders and heard someone say,"Now, I do believe that you left on very important business, Ms. Houston."

  I looked up and yelled,"BRUCE!!"

Bruce chuckled and hugged me back, causing my feet to leave the ground for about a minute. Bruce slowly put me back down on my two feet, and I never realized how much taller he was than me until now. Lois looked between us, and I facepalmed for being so clueless.

I apologized before I motioned with my hands saying to Bruce and Lois,"Bruce Wayne meet Lois Lane. Lois Lane, this is Bruce Wayne. Bruce is the owner of Wayne Enterprises and the famous billionaire of Gotham. Lois works for the Daily Planet, Bruce."

Bruce smiled at Lois and shook Lois' hand before Lois smiled back at Bruce.

Bruce put a hand on my back and whispered in my ear,"Where have you been? I've been worried sick about you."

I smiled at Bruce, yet I realized I had been staring at him. For how long? I don't know.

I cleared my throat and looked away saying to Bruce,"I've just been putting in more hours at the diner, Bruce, and still trying to adjust to my new place. I really just needed to get away from... you know."

Bruce nodded, knowing exactly what I was referring to. Lois stood to her feet and walked off.

Bruce held out his hand and said,"May I? Don't worry, I promise to make sure that you don't embarrass yourself. I'm Batman, remember?"

I hit Bruce's shoulder but rolled my eyes at him. I placed my hand in Bruce's hand, and I was positive that he just wanted to talk to me. Bruce led me to the floor, and I rested my hands on his shoulders.

Bruce smiled down at me and said,"You look amazing, but what's wrong? You're upset about something."

How did Bruce figure that out? Right, he's Batman, and he's known me almost my whole life.

I went to argue against it, but Bruce held up his hand and sternly said,"Don't do that, Kianna. I know that there's something bothering you, and you know it, too. What is it? You can trust me with anything, Kianna."

Bruce really wanted me to tell him what was bothering me. His blue eyes were killing me, really, but I couldn't tell him.

I had to break his gaze and looked down saying,"I...I'm sorry, Bruce. I just... can't."

I looked back up at Bruce, and Bruce took a step back from me. I frowned, yet you could see right through the smile Bruce put on his face.

Bruce nodded and kissed my hand saying,"Right, I understand. Ki-"

Bruce went to say something, but someone called his name. Bruce was quick to turn around, too. In front of Bruce stood a very handsome, Caucasian man. If I might add, he had amazing blue eyes, and his glasses really complimented his look.
Wait, this man looked very familiar. I've seen his face somewhere before. He looked down at me and sent me a soft smile. As for me, I just looked away, trying not to do something stupid. Bruce looked at me confused, but I could tell that guard of his came up.

The man extended his hand and smiled, choosing to introduce himself to me,"I'm Clark Kent. Lois has told me a lot about you. It's very nice to finally meet you."

I smiled, but I politely shook Clark's hand. Bruce rolled his eyes at the scene, but I knew it was because he was being his old, protective self. When Clark's eyes met Bruce's, Bruce's eyes seemed to darken. How was that possible? What was going on around here? First, everyone was all nice and normal, then it turned into something completely different in a matter of seconds.

I wanted to listen to Clark and Bruce's conversation, but Lois came out of nowhere and pulled me away saying to me,"I think it's time for us to go, Ki. Tell Mr. Wayne and Clark bye."

I pouted, but I knew Lois was right. I had a long day, and it was about time to go home.

Bruce kissed my hand for the second time tonight and said,"Be careful. Bye, honey."

I smiled and gave Bruce a hug before Clark sent me a smile. I noticed after Lois pulled me away, Clark and Bruce's expressions became serious again. I was just ready to get home.
