   KIANNA'S POV

After Lois walked out, I turned to Clark and asked him,"All right, Man of Steel, care if I educate you for a minute?"

Clark shook his head, and I sat down while he remained standing.

I sighed and said,"I know this isn't hard for you, so just be honest with me, yeah?"

Clark gulped before he gave me his undivided attention.

I sat up and calmly said to Clark,"In no way am I trying to accuse you of anything, but you didn't kill those people on purpose, did you?"

Clark's blue eyes filled with hurt, and something told me not to ask him that stupid question.

I rushed to his side saying,"Hey, hey, I said I wasn't trying to accuse you of that. I know you didn't, but they made it look like you did. Clark, how does this make you feel? It's okay to trust me, Kent. I know you, remember?"

Tears began to fall down Clark's face, and I immediately pulled him in for a hug.

I softly said,"Superman, don't give up now. Metropolis still needs you. Trust me, there's something bigger than the feud between Bruce and you going on in this city. Don't give in to what they framed you to be, Clark. I remember the stories you told me about your father. Be what he wanted you to be, Clark. Fight for that."

Clark nodded and continued to let his tears fall. I felt so bad for him because no one ever stopped to ask how he felt or what kind of toll this would ultimately take on him.

I stopped hugging Clark and said to him,"It makes you feel weak, doesn't it? It makes you feel vulnerable."

Clark looked at me and squeezed my hands tightly. I knew he understood what I was saying to him. That I wanted him to feel and not ignore his feelings.

I smiled slightly, but I continued by saying,"Guide them, Kent. You keep on moving and don't let their doubts and commentary weigh you down. You're strong, Superman, and no one can tell you otherwise. No one. I know I've caused you some pain by not being here for you, but be there for Lois, okay? I'm sorry for not noticing this earlier, because I could've done something to help you out."

Clark shook his head and squeezed my hands again saying,"There's nothing you could've done, Kianna. I love you, too. I'll protect Lois. You have my word. You should probably get back to Gotham. Bruce doesn't seem to like me very much, but I see that didn't stop you from coming to visit me. Is this what I think it is, Kianna?"

I cleared my throat and looked down saying,"Clark, I...I was just worried about you, okay? Don't try to bring this back on me again."

Clark chuckled and held my chin saying,"Here I was, thinking you did all this for Lois. I had no idea this was actually all because you truly did care about me and may even love me. Guess what? I love you, too."

I gave Clark's hand a squeeze and smiled up at Clark.

I looked away for a minute and hopefully said,"Did you umm...get the gift for Lois?"

Clark nodded, and I let out a sigh of relief.

"You scared me for a minute, Kansas. I thought you had forgotten again because then I would've had to deal with you myself. Clark, it's not funny!!"

Clark laughed, and I rolled my eyes at him. Clark eventually stopped laughing and randomly kissed my cheek. He held on for a minute before he let go and casually walked me to my car.

Clearly confused, I asked Clark,"What was that for, Superman?"

Clark smiled genuinely at me saying,"For keeping your faith in me and pushing me forward. Bye, Kia."

I softly said goodbye before I drove back to Wayne Manor. Once I got back, I walked into Wayne Manor, only to be met with a mad Bruce Wayne and a concerned Alfred Pennyworth.

Alfred let out a sigh of relief, but Bruce crossed his arms and said,"Where have you been, Kia? I've been calling, texting, and even trying to track you to get in touch with you!!"

"You put a tracker on me?"

Bruce looked like he wanted to take it back, but it was too late now.

Bruce quickly recovered, but Alfred tried to lighten the mood by saying,"What would you both say to having some leftovers tonight for dinner? There's more than enough for the two of you. I can set the table as well."

I walked closer to Bruce and cautiously asked him,"Why would you need to put a tracker on me, Bruce? Am I not trustworthy enough for you anymore?"

It got worse by the minute, and poor Alfred had to watch this play out.

Bruce calmly said,"No, no, you're not. For all I know, you could've been making out with Clark!!"

My eyes widened, yet Alfred said to Bruce,"Master Wayne, now I do believe that that was uncalled for!! Ms. Houston would never do something like that."

Tears formed in my eyes because this was what I was afraid was going to happen. I should've just answered Bruce's message, but I just wanted to make things better between Bruce and Clark.
Bruce just turned away and walked to the very back of Wayne Manor. I sniffed, letting my tears fall down my face. Alfred took my hand and led me to one of the spare rooms upstairs.

I lied down before he kissed my forehead. Alfred stayed with me for a couple of minutes until he let me have some space. I turned onto my side and couldn't explain what this feeling was that I was feeling right now, but I knew that Bruce still needed me.
