   KIANNA'S POV

Alfred woke me up the very next morning by shaking me gently. I opened my eyes, but I didn't want to show him my face. So, I put the blanket that I slept with over my head.

Alfred sighed and said,"Ms. Kianna, everything will be all right. Master Wayne didn't mean what he said, and he's not taking it too well. You still love him, don't you?"

I threw the blanket into the chair beside the bed, and I nodded saying,"Of course, I do, Alfred. I'm just afraid that he won't want to be with me anymore. He was really angry, Alfred."

Alfred nodded and helped me up.

He went to lead me to the door, but I stopped him saying,"I have to brush my teeth, first. I know that my breath stinks, Al. Don't lie to me."

Alfred chuckled and let me brush my teeth, then he shook his head and led me into the living room. Bruce was sitting on the sofa while he talked to someone on the phone.
I made my way over to Bruce. Bruce didn't notice me yet, but I wanted to keep it that way. I sat down beside Bruce and rested my head on his chest.

I repeated,"I'm so sorry, Brucie. I should've just answered your text message, so you wouldn't have had to call me or attempt to track me down. I'm so sorry."

Bruce shook his head and placed kisses all over my face.

He shushed me saying,"I'm sorry, too. I was just afraid of losing you to Clark because you two get along so well. Plus, I couldn't get in contact with you, and I knew you were in Metropolis. It was only a matter of time before you found each other."

I nodded and held his face saying,"Next time, can you please just talk to me about it instead of accusing me of cheating on you, Batman? Please?"

Bruce nodded and kissed me slowly. I kissed back and wrapped my arms around his neck.

Bruce slowly pulled away and said,"I'm needed at Wayne Enterprises. Are you coming along?"

I smiled and nodded. Bruce smiled back at me before he led me to Wayne Enterprises. However, reporters and camera men blocked our way inside. Bruce yelled at the men to move before they finally moved. I let out a sigh of relief because I was feeling a little sick.
Bruce checked me over before we were led into a small room. Bruce motioned for me to sit down. I obeyed and relaxed in the chair. Suddenly, the television came on. Right now, they were talking about Superman's part to play in all of this. Honestly, I didn't want to hear this at all.

I said, irritated,"Bruce, can you just mute that or turn to something else?"

Bruce looked at me confused, but he didn't turn it off. I rolled my eyes and tried to distract myself.
My brown eyes immediately softened when I saw Superman fly down to the bottom of the stairs of the Capitol.

The crowd seemed to get louder and louder as Superman looked around.

I watched Superman make his way down the halls, and everyone seemed to make a path for him. I couldn't help but notice Bruce's facial expression change, too. I could see the rage in Bruce's eyes. That only caused me to worry even more about Bruce.
One of Bruce's workers, Greg, walked into the room and handed him something. I was curious as to what it was that Greg handed Bruce, so I leaned over his shoulder. Bruce seemed to tense, but there were different messages in red font written across the newspapers.

  Bruce said,"Jesus. Why haven't I seen this?"

Greg said,"I'm sorry. I'll get to the bottom of it."

It got silent for a minute before I saw the Capitol building burst into flames. Clark! I went to run out the door, but Bruce held me back and sent me a look. I sighed and sat down before Bruce placed a gentle but sweet kiss on my lips.

He stroked my cheek and said,"I love you, Kianna."

I stopped his finger from stroking my cheek and intertwined his fingers with mine.

Bruce kissed the back of my hand and said,"I'm sorry, I just can't risk not having you with me. I know you care about him, but that doesn't change the fact that he's dangerous and still needs to be stopped. I'm not changing my mind, Kianna, and I hope you know that."

I walked over to the other side of the room and sat down by myself. Bruce was still the man I was deeply in love with. I couldn't imagine not having him in my life.
It would be different if Bruce and I were just friends, but we were more than that to each other. Not even two seconds later, Bruce noticed that I had moved to the other side of the room.

He walked over to the other side of the room and sat down in front of me.

He rested his forehead against my own and asked me,"What are you thinking about?"

I shook my head and admitted to Bruce,"Nothing, I'm just worried about how this all ends. I don't like seeing you this way, Bruce. You're scaring me."

Bruce let out a sigh before he pulled me in for a warm hug. I hugged back and buried my face in his neck. Bruce placed a kiss on my neck before he let me lean more into him.

Bruce and I stayed like that for a very long time before I stopped hugging him and said,"We should probably head back now. It's getting pretty late."

Bruce nodded, and we prepared for the long days ahead of us.
