   KIANNA'S POV

As Mrs. Kent walked into the house, I took a deep breath and began to make my way over to Clark. Clark just stood there staring at the ground, but it was almost as if he was... deep in thought. That caused me to walk even slower than before.

When I was only about an inch away from Clark, I heard a voice say,"Why are we being so dramatic? Is everything all right, Kianna?"

I turned around. Diana was standing there with her hands in her pockets. She laughed at me before she walked up to me and just looked at me for a minute or two.

Diana put her hand on my shoulder and sent me a soft smile,"Kia, I understand what your situation is, but don't continue to keep your emotions in. Bruce and Clark won't just abandon you because you want to tell them how you've been feeling. You must know that."

Diana was very good at reading people. I mean, she knew how I was really feeling right now. That was impressive.

I nodded and said in frustration,"Why is it so hard for me to just confess to everything? Why can't I just walk up to Clark and tell him how sorry I am? I just want this tension between the two of us to go away."

Diana gently pushed me forward and said,"You need to remember that no matter what happens, Kianna, Clark and Bruce will still love you and wish to protect you from your enemies. Kia, you deserve to be able to live your life. You shouldn't spend most of your life worrying about this. Go talk to Clark and figure out whatever else it is that you need to figure out. Enough is enough."

I nodded and smirked saying,"Wow, Diana, I should come to you more often. Maybe it's just those Wonder Woman skills, right? Gotta represent!!"

Diana chuckled, and then I made my way over to Clark.

Clark turned towards me and asked me,"Are you going to talk to me?"

"Don't be smart, Superman. I keep forgetting about your hearing, but yes, I'm going to talk to you."

Clark nodded and said,"It must've been hard for you."

I looked at Clark confused and asked him,"What must've been hard for me?"

Clark continued saying,"Hard to cope with my death. I'm sorry for all the pain that I put you all through, but I just wanted to do the right thing. Now, I'm just trying to figure out whether I really made the right decision or not. If there could've been another way to-"

I said,"There couldn't have been another way, Clark. Sure, in some way, maybe there was, but it just didn't work that way that night. You can't control everything, but I don't understand why you'd take back the sacrifice that you made for another option? Metropolis now understands the truth and will always know that Superman will be here for them. Isn't that what this whole thing was about? Going out there and protecting those from danger when the good people of Metropolis couldn't do it themselves. Clark, you've made your father proud. I'm sure of it. I had to tell Bruce the same exact thing."

Clark closed the distance between us and looked into my eyes for a minute before I noticed that his blue eyes seemed to soften a little bit.

He asked me in realization,"You're still in love with me, aren't you?"

I went to argue against it, but Clark held my hand saying,"Don't, Kia. The only reason why you're so upset about what happened is because you're holding on to those feelings for me."

Clark squeezed my hand and said to me,"Kia, I know there have been many times where I've told you that I love you and I meant it every single time, but I've meant it as your friend or best friend. Maybe we've had moments or conversations that feel like it was much more than that, but... Bruce needs you. There's no way you've been focusing like you need to on Bruce because you're so worried about me."

Clark was right. I tried to deny it so many times when Bruce cornered me about it, but he...he was right. Those feelings have always been there, and I was sure that y'all have noticed it, too. It was time that I let go.

But was it that easy? Was it ever that easy?

Clark dropped my hand and said to me,"I know it hurts, Kianna, but we'll get you through this. It'll take time, and I'm willing to push you through it. Lois and Diana can help you with the more obvious stuff, but you won't lose me, I promise. Stay strong."

I nodded and pulled myself together to the verh best of my ability. Clark smiled at me before he led me inside. Bruce immediately stood up to his feet and rushed over to me. He pecked my lips, and I immediately wrapped my arms around him.

As I leaned on Bruce, I repeated,"I'm so sorry, Bruce. I promise I didn't mean to-"

Bruce cut me off by kissing me passionately. I kissed him back, and Bruce moved my hands to his face. He intertwined his fingers with mine and broke the kiss.

Bruce looked into my eyes saying,"Stop apologizing. I forgive you, all right? You do remember how to eat, don't you? Come on, Kianna!!"

I smiled at Bruce, yet I pouted at his first comment. I hit Bruce's shoulder before he tried to hit me back. Clark separated us from each other and sat me down in Bruce's lap. Bruce smiled at me lovingly.
I smiled, and Lois sent me a wink before I winked back at her. We all held someone's hands before Mrs. Kent said the grace. After she finished, Clark and Bruce offered to help pass the food and drinks out to everyone. Lois and I smiled at our men, but I wondered what happened to Diana.

I was brought out of my thoughts by Bruce placing kisses on my hand. I gently pushed him away from me, and Lois laughed at us. We all spent the rest of dinner catching up, trying to spend time together as a... family.
