Chapter 22

   KIANNA'S POV

  As Bruce led me through the parking lot, he suddenly stopped behind a random car and turned to face me.

  I sent him a confused look before he cupped my face and said,"Are you sure you're all right?"

  I nodded and hugged Bruce's waist. Our moment was cut short by Alfred chuckling and pointing over to the limo.

  He said,"As much as I enjoy seeing the two of you together, Master Bruce, we should get back to the Manor."

  Bruce smiled, and we walked over to the limo before Bruce held open the door for me.

  I held his chin and smirked saying,"What a gentleman."

  Bruce blushed, and I smiled, getting inside. Bruce got in next before Alfred drove away from LexCorp. I played with my necklace, and Bruce stopped me.

  He pulled me closer to him and wrapped his arms around me saying,"What's bothering you? Don't say nothing."

  I couldn't meet Bruce's gaze and played with his suit.

  Bruce sighed and said,"Alfred?"

  Alfred replied,"Yes, Master Wayne?"

  Bruce said to Alfred,"Al, stop the limo."

  Alfred was just as confused as I was, but he followed Bruce's orders, stopping the limo.

  Bruce looked down at me and said,"We don't leave until you tell me what's going on. I know there's something bothering you again, and I want to be here for you. All you have to do is trust me with whatever it is, Kia."

  I said,"When I went through the building and saved all those people, the only thing that I could think about was... you. I know you do this sort of thing all the time, but I...I was just afraid that I'd lose you again. You've done nothing but been there for me, but I couldn't help but think the worst had happened to you. I know it's dumb, but it's true."

  Bruce kissed my forehead and said to me,"You're not going to lose me. I know how hard it is for you to be without me, but I know what I'm doing. If it ever comes down to you having to live without me, I know that you'll be safe with Alfred and the family. You have nothing to worry about, Ki."

  I smiled and stroked Bruce's cheek saying,"I love you, Wayne, so much."

  Bruce smiled back saying,"I love you, too. I love you, too. Hey, Alfred, did you listen to our conversation?"

  Alfred chuckled and nodded saying,"I did, sir. Though, I'm glad you got your issue resolved. Master Wayne, please don't crush Ms. Kianna."

  Bruce quickly apologized to me, as to which I just waved it off. Bruce moved back to his side of the limo before Alfred made his way back to Wayne Manor.
  Once we got there, Bruce immediately led us inside. Alfred made his way to the kitchen while Bruce and I headed to the living room.

  Bruce took the chair, and I lied down on the sofa. I rested my head against the pillow, and Bruce continued to stare at me. He was scaring me a little with all the staring, but I knew it couldn't be that bad, or maybe I was just doing too much because I was tired.

  I yawned and rubbed my eyes before I turned around on the sofa.

  Bruce chuckled and said,"Ki?"

  I hmmed in response, but I was too tired to turn back around. I yawned again and felt Bruce get in behind me. He pulled me underneath him.
  With that, I gladly turned around and snuggled into him. Bruce gave me a kiss before he rested his head beside mine. I smiled and turned back around before I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep.
