Right now Odell and I had just gotten off the plane. He had a game against the Saints in New Orleans and he insisted that I come. Besides, I really missed my family. They didn't know that I was here. It's been months since I've seen them.

Today was Friday, also Danny's birthday, and the game wasn't until Sunday so we had a bit of time to do what we wanted also. We rented a car and then we were off to my mama's house. When we pulled up the whole family was here. I guess Danny decided to have a little party.

I got out of the car and got his gifts out of the backseat. We walked towards the house and as I passed my family, I gave hugs, kisses, and waved. I made my way inside and everybody was surprised to see me home.

"Hey sis." Danny said.

"Hey D." I hugged him and handed him his presents.

"Thanks y'all. Yo O, Imma put this is up. Be right back."

Odell nodded. "Cool."

"Well Imma go talk to Josh." He told me.

I nodded and he kissed my cheek before walking towards Josh.

I saw Mimi across the room and I walked over to her.

"Oh my gosh. What are you doing here?" She asked hugging me.

I hugged her back."Well I couldn't miss Danny's birthday and Odell has a game Sunday."

"That's cool." She nodded.

"Where's mama and daddy?"

"Well dad went to the store for something and mama isn't doing too well. She's getting worse and worse by day. Her and grandmama are upstairs."

I nodded. "Well I'm gonna go and say Hi."

She nodded. "Okay. Well after if you want to, you can come with me to pick up my baby."

"Ok."

I walked up the stairs and to Mama's room. Her and grandmama were just talking.

"Hey Victoria." Grandmama said.

"Hey grandmama. Hey mama." I hugged them and kissed both their cheeks.

"Hey baby." Mama said, her voice weak and raspy.

"Well I'll let you two talk." Grandmama walked out.

I sat in the rocking chair next to Mama's bed and sat my purse on the table. Mama looked sick. She was looking a little pale, she was skinnier, bags under her eyes, and her hair was falling. It hurt me to see her like this.

"So how have you been?"

"Everything is going good, can't complain."

"So have you and Odell worked things out?"

"Yes we have. Thanks mama."

"Don't thank me girl, it's what I'm supposed to do." She said.

"So how are you?"

"I'm not getting any better, obviously, but I'm not stressing over it. If God is ready for me, then he just is. There isn't anything we could do about that."

I started to tear up and mama wiped my eyes.

"Don't you go crying now."

I sniffed. "I'm sorry. It's just hard. I can't believe I'm losing my mother."

"Look V. You are not losing me. I'll always be here. That's what I want you to know. Now stop crying and go have some fun with the family. I'll be taking a nap."

I nodded and got up. I kissed her head. "Love you mama."

"I love you too baby."

I walked out the room and closed the door. I don't know what I'm gonna do without my mother.

"So you've been trying for how long?" I asked.

"Almost three months. Nothing." V said.

"Well you need to visit the doctor and see what's up V. That's not good."

"I know. I'll make an appointment when I get home."

"So how are things up there?"

"Pretty good. I love New York but I miss home."

"Ain't nothing changed. Home is home." I shrugged.

"I know. And then it's getting cold up there now. I thought it was cold here, but you don't know the half."

I was driving when some car swerved in front of me and stopped which caused me to swerve a bit and hit breaks.

"I know this-(stops) Who in the hell is that?" I asked.

"Mimi just don't worry about it."

"Nah I don't think so."

I stepped out my car and this girl stepped out. Kelly. This girl.

"You need to watch where your going . I have a child in this car!"

"And you need to watch how you driving, you almost hit my car!"

"Well you need to stop driving like bat outta hell! Maybe I wouldn't have had to swerve and it breaks!"

"Whatever. Bitch." I heard her mumble the last.

"Bitch? I got yo bitch!" I started to walk over to her car but Victoria stopped me.

"Miranda calm down."

"Nah let her ass go. Let her touch me." Kelly said.

"Just get in your car and leave." Victoria said.

"Glad to. Next time just watch where you going."

This girl got the right one. I wasn't for the drama today. Next time I see her, it's gonna be on and popping. Believe that.

We got back into the car and started to drive back home.
