Over the last month I've moved out of New Orleans and to Alabama, not too far from my Nana's house in Mobile. Michael and I are divorced now and we only talk on the behalf of Payton. I won't lie, I was hurt, but it was for the best.
I was now on my way to bring get Payton from her dad. Michael and I would meet in Biloxi whenever Payton would visit him and come back home. Soon, I met Michael at a gas station to get my baby. I got out of my truck and walked over to Michael's car.
"She's asleep." He said opening the car door.
I grabbed Payton and he carried her bags to the car. I strapped her in and closed the door, while Michael put the bags in my trunk. He closed it and kissed Payton goodbye.
"How are you Mi?" He asked.
"I'm fine." I said.
"That's good." He said. "I miss you."
I didn't say anything. I just shrugged and was about to be on my way but he grabbed my arm.
"Your not going to say anything?"
"Michael what do you want me to say? You want me to run back to you after what you've done?"
"I didn't say that."
"Well, I'm just saying it's not going to happen."
I walked back over to my truck and got in. I put my seatbelt on then proceeded to leave.
Victoria
I woke up in the middle of the night in pain. It wasn't all that bad but I figured I could deal with it. I could feel Odell move and he sat up.
"What's wrong V?" He asked.
"Just some pain, but I'll be fine." I shrugged and walked out of the room and then downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and started to look for some pickles, chocolate, and chips. I mixed the concoction in a bowl and made my way back upstairs. I sat in bed and began watching "The Real".
"Victoria, what are you eating?" Odell asked.
"Nothing." I stopped chewing.
He turned over and looked inside my bowl. "The hell?"
I chuckled. "I'm sorry but I was having cravings."
"How does that even taste?" He asked.
"It's really good. You want some?" I lifted my spoon and put it to his face.
"Nah I'm good." He frowned.
The next minute I felt an painful feeling in my stomach, something like cramps but worse.
"Oh my." I said, my face scrunched up in pain. Yeah it's time.
Odell instantly sat up and turned on his lamp. He walked over to my side of the bed and helped me out of bed. He helped me get dressed and he got dressed before we made our way down to the car. He helped me in and buckled me up before running back into the house for the bags. Once he came back, he put the bags in the car and we were on our way to the hospital.

After some hours, my wife finally gave birth to our daughter. My baby girl was absolutely beautiful.

I kissed Victoria passionately and covered her up. "Get some rest." She nodded. "I love you." She said.
"I love you too baby." I said.
I turned out the light in the room and walked down the hall to see my baby girl. I walked into the room and over to her. I picked her up and kissed her head.
"You are beautiful just like your mama baby girl." I said. "I love you."
She wrapped her hand around my finger and smiled at me.
