Kaine

Chapter 2

I remember the first day we met. It was after Christmas break so a lot of people had their schedules changed into different class. But me and #Squad had PE all year so we didn't change anything. Me and #Squad were walking to PE as usual it was a good month or so into the new semester. I was walking with the girl half of #Squad. Mandi, Ayla, Tiara, and Andrea. We walked in a group as usual. I was walking towards the front with Mandi when I heard a laugh. I turned my head and look behind me. I seen a boy and when I say this boy's smile was life I mean it. He had such a beautiful smile. I thought out loud like always and I said, "He has a cute smile."  And Mandi being Mandi turns to him and goes, "Hey she said you have a pretty smile." Then he turned to me and smiled and I threw up peace signs for some reason. He thanked me and then he walked me to PE. He even opened the door for me. I never had a man open the door for me so I was really surprised in all honestly. I didn't expect a high school boy to even consider opening a door for a girl anymore. I was flattered in all honestly. After that day he would open the door for me every time I went to PE. One day we were walking to PE and he asked me my name. "Margaret" I replied. "What's yours?" I asked. "Kaine." I told him I wasn't going to remember that. Because, I really didn't think I was going to. "You can't remember the name of your school?"  He asked while laughing. "No" I replied while also laughing. I was very wrong his name was now stuck with me forever now, and the funny thing is at the time I had no idea. One day I was at home and I was texting this guy named Alex. We use to go to church together and we were catching up. I had looked Kaine up on Facebook on day, because I seen him as Kevion's  profile picture so he was on my mind. I found him and I sent him a friend request and he accepted. I'm not sure how much longer after that, but Kaine eventually texted me. He said, "Aren't you the girl who likes my smile and dimples." I told him yeah that was me. The ironic thing is I kind of put Kaine on the back burner that night. I was more into texting my old friend Alex then texting Kaine. Usually now when Kaine text I don't care who I'm texting I go straight to his message and I reply instantly. But, during that time I really didn't care I took my time replying to him. It's crazy I never expected for me to even love this man, but I do. We started texting and the next day I gave him my number. After that we texted all the time.
