Hannah’s POV:
David started the engine of his car and we began to make our way to my work. I really do wonder how the people in the café will react when they see him turn up to drop me to work. They will most likely be extremely surprised to be quite honest with you.
“You know Hannah I was thinking…” David started as he rested his large hand on my leg, just above my knee. “As the season ends this weekend, perhaps we could have a party or something at ours? And invite all the team over so you can meet all of them properly and get to know some of them a bit more…what do you think?” He suggested, giving me that cheeky smile of his as he took his eyes off of the road for a split second.
“That’s a really good idea actually.” I smiled at him, placing my hand on his knee also. “See, I always knew you weren’t that stupid babe.” I teased him. He looked at me with a disapproved look but I could tell he was joking, just by the look in his eyes.
“I hate you.” He lied as he tried to hold his laughter in. I must say though, he done a good job as I was expecting him to burst into laughter after those words had escaped from his mouth.
I knew that David was joking of course, so I decided to play along. “Oh you hate me do you…” I started. “Well if you hate me so much then I suppose it wouldn’t bother you if I refused to have sex with you from now on.” I teased. The look on his face as soon as I had said that was a picture; his eyes looked like they were about to pop out of their sockets and his eyebrows looked like they were raised more than they were supposed to be.
“Oh no you can’t do that.” He laughed as he drew circles with his fingers on my leg. “I love you really, you know that right? So refusing to have sex with me is completely out of the question.” He smiled. I knew full well that if I actually did refuse to it would drive him crazy. David most likely wouldn’t be able to cope.
“Yeah of course I know you do, and I love you also.” I smiled at him. He breathed out a sigh of relief and turned to look at me again, smiling as per usual.
“So are you going to ask all the boy’s today at training about the party then?” I changed the subject; he knew I was joking about the whole no sex thing and he knew I loved him so there wasn’t much more to speak about involving that. All I was really concentrated on speaking about was the party, meaning that I would get to see Ludy again. Ever since I was first introduced to her we have got along so well, too well in fact. She’s just great, Oscar sure has done well.
“Probably, yeah. Hopefully they can all make it. I’m sure that Oscar and Ludy will definitely come, so you’ll be reunited with her.” David laughed. “I’m pretty sure that all of them will come actually, well I hope so anyway.” He declared, continuing to draw circles on my leg with his finger.
“What do you mean reunited with Ludy?” I questioned him. Yes Ludy and I are good friends but we haven’t not seen each other for years… That’s usually what reunited means right?
“Well yeah maybe I did exaggerate by using reunited.” David laughed as he turned his head to look at me. I shook my head at him as I had a smile on my face, trying not to laugh at his little mistake.
The rest of the journey to my work was just the same as it had already been. Full of laughter, jokes, chatter and teasing each other. That’s just so expected of David and I really, always constantly teasing each other but neither of us ever step out of line and go over the top. We know when to stop.
“Finally we’re here.” David moaned as he pulled into the car park out side of the café. I was surprised to find that I wasn’t actually late for work, the clock in the car read that I was five minutes early. That may not sound very interesting or whatever to you, but for it is a big deal, considering that I’m usually twenty minutes, maybe half an hour late. I should really get David to drop me to work more often is this is the outcome.
I was surprised to find that David had already got out of the car and was by the door to my side of the car. He opened it for me and held his hand out so I could grab it to get myself out of the car. I put my hand to his and he helped me get out the car, I had no energy to do this myself, I was still so tired after last night.
In the glass window of the café I could see Millie and Malcolm staring at David and I with their mouths open. It’s only expected right? I’ve told them both about him but I suppose they never expected to actually see him outside of the café.
“What time do you finish?” David asked as we stood by the car. I could see out of the corner of my eye everyone in the café staring at the two of us, it made me feel a little uncomfortable, but I didn’t let it bother me. David wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped mine around his. He really does look so silly with that beanie hat he decided to wear today, but he also looks surprisingly sexy with it on too…
“About three, maybe half past.” I replied, looking up at him smiling. You see, Malcolm never really tells me in advance my working hours. All I do know is that I finish between three and half past. Annoying I know.
“Ok babe. Well I’ll be outside her at three.” He smiled. Our faces were centimetres apart and our noses were touching. David eventually filled the gap between the both of us as he planted his soft lips onto mine. Our tongues both started explore the inside of each others mouths. His hands started to caress my waist as I put one of my hands through his hair, playing with it a little. This really isn’t the kind of scene which people would be wanting to view while they are eating their breakfast or whatever is it? But oh well, like I’ve said before; we really aren’t afraid to show our affection towards each other in public.
“I’ll see you later on then.” David told me as he kissed my forehead once we had broken free from our long and passionate kiss.
I nodded and I released by body from his, he grabbed my hand and I started to walk, it wasn’t long before our hands were broken from each other. “I love you.” I smiled at him.
“I love you too.” He smiled back. And with that I made my way into the café.
As soon as I got in I saw that everyone in there was looking at me weird. But not, Millie or Malcolm, oh no…they stood at the counter winking at me.
“By the looks of that I am guessing that you had a brilliant day/night yesterday.” Millie smiled at me. Malcolm looked at both Millie and I and started laughing.
“So did you… you know, last night?” Malcolm asked, seeming intrigued as to what my answer would be. He really is the type of man to just say what’s on his mind and I kind of like that about him, in a weird way.
“A lady never tells.” I winked at the both of them as I made my way around to the back of the counter, hanging my bag on hanger which I usually hang my stuff on. I knew that by the end of my shift today they would both get every single detail of yesterday out of me if I liked it or not. Today really is going to a long day isn’t it?
