Hannah’s POV:

A FEW DAYS LATER:

“Hannah…Hannah wake up.” I felt David’s large hands place themselves on each one of my shoulders as he shook me awake. For some reason I didn’t even make any effort what so ever to get up, I just simply stayed in the exact same position I was originally in; hoping and praying that maybe just maybe he would let me sleep for just a little while longer. I suppose this is just what I get really for going to bed so late last night, completely oblivious to the fact that we have an early flight to Brazil for the start of the Confederations Cup; whereas David was strangely the sensible one out of the two of us for a change and went to bed early, leaving me to watch all the Desperate Housewives episodes which I hadn’t seen. Such a bad idea of mine for sure.

David didn’t stop shaking me as I felt him towering over me, and it was actually beginning to feel rather soothing, it was most definitely starting to help me fall back to sleep. But as soon as I felt myself begin to drift back to sleep David began shaking me a lot harder, which made me start to feel a little sick instead of nice and relaxed. “David can you just give me five more minutes please, and then I promise I’ll get up.” I asked him as I snuggled back up into the duvet, pulling some of it over my head.

“No you’re not having five more minutes because I know what you’re like babe, you won’t get up.” He laughed as he continued to shake me. By this point I was getting so stressed out and annoyed at David but I decided to remain calm as quite frankly I don’t have enough energy to do anything about it. “If you don’t get up now Hannah I will physically get you up out of that bed myself.”

“Was that a threat? Because I know you won’t do it.” I lied, I knew full well that he would in fact do it but I was just testing his patience this morning like I usually enjoy doing.

“Don’t test me Hannah; you know I’ll do it.” He laughed; I innocently shook my head in disagreement at him. “Fine, if you’re going to be like that.” He added. And with that I felt his hands leave my shoulders and place themselves under my body as he gradually picked me up with the duvet still wrapped firmly around me.

“David let go of me! Put me down!” I yelled as I struggled around in an attempt to set myself free from him. But as expected he was far too strong for me. And it was at that moment when I realised that we were no longer in the bedroom, we were in fact in the hallway up stairs and from what it looked like we were making our way into the bathroom. Hang on a minute…this can only mean one thing. “David please just put me down, I’m sorry.” I pleaded as I held onto the shirt he had on as tight as I possibly could.

“Well I was thinking that maybe if you’re that tired then perhaps a quick dip in the bath would do you good you know?” He laughed as he looked directly into my eyes with that cheeky smile of his plastered on his face.

“Do you really think I’m that stupid? There’s no water in there.” I laughed as I realised just how stupid I was for originally thinking that there was. I mean neither of us were going to have a bath and David’s hair wasn’t wet or anything.

“You see that’s where you’re wrong. I knew that you were going to take a while to get up seeing as I still heard the TV going off downstairs during the early hours of the morning. So before I came to wake you up I ran the bath a little.” He smiled at me with a smug look on his face as if to show just how proud of himself he is for coming up with this idea. I still didn’t believe him but as soon as he stepped foot into the bedroom I found that he wasn’t actually joking, he was as serious as ever because I saw with my own eyes the bath filled up a little with water.

“Ok David I’m sorry, like really sorry. Can you just put me down please?” He ignored me and as he reached the bath he began lowering me down into it slowly. “David I’m being serious now just put me down!!” I screamed at the top of my lungs, still gripping his shirt as tight as I could.
