Hannah’s POV:

“Well…are you going to say anything or?” I asked, getting a little annoyed at the situation I was in right now. David still hadn’t spoken nor showed any emotional as to the brilliant news I had come out and told him – well I thought it was brilliant anyway. But for some reason due to the blank expression covering his face right now, from my opinion, he didn’t seem to think so. If anything he could think the complete opposite for all I know.

Still he sat there behind me not saying a word. The expression ‘cat got your tongue’ was easily used in the situation. Why he isn’t answering nor seemingly paying any attention to me what so ever I do not know. It’s like he’ just sat there in front of me daydreaming but still looking directly at me – rarely blinking. If he didn’t want this then why he even bothered saying when we went out for dinner that he would like a child of our own is beyond me.

What have I done?

“If you’re going to be like this then fine.” I said, annoyed, while standing up. “The least you could do was at least answer me. This isn’t something small David it’s something big. So you could at least have the decency to say something to me. You’re unbelievable.” Sighing I began walking around the bed. But that was until I felt a hand pull me back – it was David.

Turning back to face him I saw an extremely apologetic look covering his face – along with those puppy eyes of his which he knows I can’t refuse. Pulling me onto his lap where I sat he wrapped his arms around me before looking up at me. “I’m sorry I didn’t answer you but you’ve got to understand that this is quite a big deal like you said. By no means at all does me not answering you mean that I don’t want this. Of course I do. I want this more than anything and with you is what makes it all perfect.” He smiled, his hands making their way down to my stomach. He began slowly rubbing circles onto it which just instantly made my heart flutter.

The thought of David with our child, whether it be a little girl or a little boy makes me so happy. He’d be so protective if we had a girl – which would be the cutest thing I have ever seen. But if we had a boy then I am almost one hundred percent sure that David will teach him how to play football, starting from a very young age. As you can tell, I am already excited.

“Are you serious? You’re not just saying that are you?” I questioned, believing all of this was too good to be true.

“Hannah. I’m being serious. I wouldn’t just lie and say something to make you happy. You know me well enough to know that I’m not that sort of person.” He assured me. “How far gone are you anyway, like did it say on the test?”

“Did you not look at the test when I handed it to you?” I asked.

“Well actually I was a little too shocked after hearing the words ‘I’m pregnant’ come out of your mouth if I’m honest.” He laughed. Shaking my head at him I took the pregnancy test off of the bed beside him and held it up in front of his face. Immediately he looked towards it and a smile slowly made its way across his lips by the second. “2-3 weeks!” He let out, in a seemingly surprised yet excited voice.

Nodding my head I soon replied. “Yes. I know, I’m just as shocked as you. If I’m honest with you I didn’t even think I was going to take this test.” Shrugging I began playing my finger nails while still sitting on his lap.

“What do you mean you weren’t sure if you were going to take it?” Suspicion now the only available tone in his voice. Looking up and catching his gaze once again I noticed a suspicious look formed all over his face – matching his voice type.

“Well Ludy suggested it because this morning I felt really ill an-“

“What? Can you just explain the whole story please? I’m so confused right now.” He laughed, holding his head with one hand while the other was wrapped around me.
