Barely Friends (Unlikely Friends sequel)

Chapter 29-

I hadn't spoken to Alli since she told me I had jumped from guy to guy.

That was 2 weeks ago.

Sam and I hadn't really talked since... That night..

I pulled into my driveway and got out of the car. I just got back from tour rehearsal and needed a shower. After showering. I put on a baby blue sundress over a strapless white bikini and sparkly gold flip flops.

My phone dinged as I plugged my blow dryer into the wall. It was Cody. Nobody knew but Cody and I had started talking again actually the day Alli and I stopped talking. I guess you could say we have a thing.

After I dried my hair and finished my makeup I left the house and started walking to the park. Cody had wanted me to meet him there. I walked around a little after I got there and found him sitting on a bench.

"Hey." I sat on the bench next to him.

He smiled. "Hey." Cody leaned over and kissed my cheek. I couldn't help but to blush.

We got up and walked around the park a bit, then we started to walk to the beach.

"I love walking on the sand." I randomly cut into our conversation.

Cody chuckled. "Me too." I didn't even realize we were holding hands until I let go to take my dress off.

"Race you to the ocean Simpson." I challenged him.

"Oh really?" Cody raised an eyebrow.

"Yep." 

"Don't be-"

"GO!" I cut him off and sprinted towards the water. I could hear Cody catching up, so I ran harder. Once I was deep enough, I dove into a wave. When. I stood up I noticed the water was only about waist deep.

I felt Cody's hands grab my waist behind, and I turned around. My arms automatically went around his neck. Cody leaned over a bit so that his head was at level with mine. I rested my forehead against his.

"I totally beat you to the water." Cody insisted.

"ha. Keep telling your self that."

Cody rolled his eyes.

I looked into his eyes and saw he was already looking into mine. I tried to think of something to say.

"Sophia, will you be my girlfriend?"

I smiled. "Of course Cody!"

With that, his lips connected to mine.

Until it got dark, Cody and I continued to play in the water.
Cody and I walked into town. At the first store we saw,  we bought dry clothing and changed into them. I simply bought a tank top and shorts. Cody, shorts, a tee, and a zip up hoodie..

"Ooooo! Cody! Let's get ice cream!" I squealed when I saw an ice cream shop. I started skipping head,  pulling Cody along with me. 

We ordered our ice cream and waited for them to scope it.  They handed Cody a cone with chocolate and vanilla. I got vanilla and strawberry.

Hand in hand, we walked up and down the streets of the town and stopped in a few stores. We found an arcade and played rounds and rounds of air hockey. 

"No!" I shouted as the puck went in my goal, letting Cody win for the 11th time.

Cody laughed. 

I put two quarters in the machine. 

"I will beat you Simpson."I mumbled under my breath.

"HA!" I threw my arms in the air when my puck went into Cody's goal.

"No fair! I didn't know we were starting." Codes whined.

I shrugged "You shoulda been paying attention." I smirked and we continued with the game.

We were tied 6-6 and Cody and I kept trying to distract each other.

"Cody!" a girl came running towards him.  He rolled his eyes and sighed.  I took this as a chance to score against him. I hit the puck and it flew forward,  bounced off the side and went right into his goal.

"Yes!!" I screamed and jumped up and down. I ran around the table to him. "I told you I'd beat you!"

He sighed and ran his hand through his hair. "Yes. Yes you did." Then he put his arm around my back. 

"Hello.  What's you're name?" Cody asked the little girl standing in front of us. She looked about 7 years old.

She was almost crying in joy. "Hanna."

"Nice to meet you Hanna. I'm Cody."

"I knew that." She nervously laughed.

"Oh my gosh Sophia.  You're my Idol. You are so beautiful and talented. I wanna be just like you when I get older." She was making my heart melt.

"Oh my gosh.  You're too sweet. But doing the things are do are a lot of work and take a lot of commitment."

"Hanna! Come on!" a middle aged woman came walking in.

"Mom! Look it's Sophia and Cody!! Can I please take my picture with them?!" she whined. 

Her mother looked over at us shocked. "Of course sweetie." Her mom got out her phone,  and she stood in between Cody and I.

"Thankyou so much!" Hanna smiled and hugged both of us then went off with her mom.

We started walking back to our houses. "Wow,  it's gotten cold." I wrapped my arms around myself. Cody took his hoodie off and draped it on my shoulders, then wrapped his arm around my back again.

I layed my head on Cody's shoulder as we continued to walk in a comfortable silence.

Later that night Cody and I were back at his house watching a movie in his room. We were the only two home. Brad and Angie were having a date night and Alli was back at Australia for the week with Tom.

We may or may not have been drinking, and been a bit tipsy, but we both were completely aware of what was going on and what we were doing.

I became disinterested with the movie and started to play with Cody's hands. I had my back against his chest and his arms were wrapped around me. He noticed.

"I never stopped loving you Sophia." Cody finally said.

Instantly, I smiled. "I never stopped loving you either." I leaned my head back and kissed right under his jaw by his ear.

The next morning. I woke up in Cody's bed... Naked.
