Barely Friends (Unlikely Friends sequel)

Chapter 33-Over

*I Just posted chapter 31, I guess it never posted or something, so go read that and the story will hopefully make more sense.*

"-I don't know Sam." I sat my phone down and put it on speaker as I continued curling my hair.

"Just let me know when you tell him."

"Whatever."

"I'm serious Soph..Cody has the right to know."

I sighed, "I know.. I just. I'm scared. I've fucked up so many times, and when I finally think I have things right... they fuck up again."
"I have a doctors appointment tomorrow.... do you want to come with... Cody doesn't know.."

"Of course. What time do you want me to pick you up?"

"Don't. That'd be too suspicious... The appointment is at 6:30am. Get there around 10 minutes before me. I'll let you know later what time I'm leaving... and then after the appointment, wait about 20 minutes after I do to leave. When you get there, go in the entrance on the left of the main... And I'll go in the one to the right of the main.....We'll meet somewhere inside."

"Okay, that's al-"

"Gotta go. buy." I said quietly as Cody knocked on my bedroom door and called my name.

"Come in" I yelled to him and quickly tossed my phone on my bed and got back to curling my hair.

"Will you be ready soon?" He asked sitting in my white chair.

"Mhm." I curled the final piece of my hair. Checking Cody out in the mirror.

He looked great, wearing a black tux. His deep purple tie matched perfectly with my dress. I got up and looked at my self in the mirror. Going to the floor, the deep purple, open back silk dress looked great on me. Jane really did have a great style. After a few minor touch ups, I was ready to go. Cody and I walked out of my room, I grabbed a gold clutch on my way out.

"Sophia! Wait!" My mom yelled as Cody and I were almost out the front door.

I sighed, turning around. "Mom! We're running behind!"

"Then I guess another few minutes won't kill you." She came into view with a smirk on her face and camera in hand.

"Cody, stand behind Sophia." My mother instructed him, and he did so. After a few more commands to each of us, she finally got the picture she wanted.

"What exactly is this thing you two are going to again?"

"It's a dinner that could really help with Cody's career, now if we don't get their soon, his career will go down the toilet. Goodbye mother." I grabbed Cody's wrist a pulled him out the front door. We walked to his house and got in his car. Angie and Brad had gone shopping earlier and would just meet us there.

"You really look beautiful Sophia." Cody said after a few minutes of driving.

"Thanks Codes." I couldn't help but to blush.

Sam and I had stopped and gotten breakfast from a small diner after the appointment. I came home to a worried looking Cody in my kitchen.

"What are you doing here?" I asked trying to kiss him. He pushed me away.

"Where were you? I thought that I'd come over and surprise you and take you from breakfast only for your mom to tell me that you left early this morning, You didn't reply to any of my texts."

"Whoa. Calm down. That's sweet of you, but I told you I wanted to sleep in today Babe."

"Yea. You told me you wanted to sleep in, and when I come at 8:30, you aren't here. So you lied to me."

I could feel my face getting red.

"Yea. I said I wanted to sleep in. I never said that's what I was doing." I tried to cover.

"Bullshit. You know what I mean. And you know what I mean too. Where were you Sophia?"

"I was out." I shrugged getting a bottle of water from the refrigerator.

"Out doing what?"

"I was with Sam." I sighed.

Cody slammed his hand on the counter. "Your know how I feel about him! You know Sophia, the way you've been acting lately has made me think you've been cheating on me." He sighed.

My eyes bulged. "Cody, you know I would never do that." I said in shock.

He looked up at me. Hurt  in his eyes. "Do I Sophia? You know. At first, I thought I was crazy for ever considering that you are cheating.. but then once you put the pieces together, it all makes sense. At the fair, 'Jane' texted you and you immediately covered up the screen. You quickly threw your phone down when I came over to take you to the dinner yesterday, this morning you just randomly 'go out.' with Sam and you won't tell me why? Don't even get me started on the other things!"

"Cody! I would never. EVER cheat. I love you. Only you." I took a step closer to him, hurt

"Why were you with him this morning Soph?" He asked softly. I could tell he was trying to stay calm.

A tear came to my eye. "I can't tell you that." I whispered out.

He forced a laugh out. It actually scared me. "That's what I thought." He sounded sad/angry/hurt.

"Goodbye Sophia." Cody turned to leave and started to walk towards the door.

"No! Cody! Please I'll explain!" I ran after him and grabbed his arm.

After a few minutes we were both just standing there.

"Well?" He raised his left eyebrow. I couldn't help but to notice how blue his eyes looked today.

"Cody..." I breathed out.

"The baby.....it...it's not yours...It's Sam's..We...we had sex when I went to his party with Mason."

I couldn't read his eyes. First they were almost relieved, then sad, then angry, then sad and then angry again.

"Are. You. Serious. Sophia?" He said through clenched teeth.

"We were'nt together at the time Cody! We were both beyond aware of what we were doing. Plus, I figured you had done the same with other girls."

"No Sophia. That's where you were wrong, the whole time we were apart, all I could think of was you, all those girls I had been with, threw themselves at me because they knew I was single. You were the only girl on my mind. And no. I hadn't had sex with any other girls. I guess I was wrong for assuming that you wouldn't have had sex either." Cody pulled his arm out of my grasp and stormed out of my house.
