Chapter 24-New Beginings

After I was all cried out and my eyes were red and puffy, I finally got up from the patio and slowly walked to the sliding doors. They were locked. I could see Logan and his friends in the living room watching a movie. It started to drizzle. I pounded on the door. They didn't even notice. After a few a minutes, I came to the conclusion that they had the bass turned up and didn't even know it was raining. My phone was inside so I couldn't call. There was no way I was going to Alli's.

The rain was coming down harder now. There was only a 3 inch ledge over the door for me to stand under. "LOGAN!" I hit the door again. One of his friends looked back and said something and pointed to the back door. Next thing I knew, Logan was at the door and opened it for me.

He saw my eyes. "Sophia! What's wrong?"

I snuffled. And tried to explain. "Cody-br-uhh-me." I couldn't get it out and started sobbing. He held is arms out and I threw myself into them. Crying into his shoulder.

"I'm sorry." He said as he rubbed my back.

I let go of him and wiped my eyes and shook my head. In the kitchen, I poured myself a glass of water.

"What movie are you watching?" I asked him after drinking 2 glasses if water. My voice was still shaky.

"The Purge. We only started it like 5 minutes ago. Wanna join us?"

"Sure. Who's here?"

"Mason, Antonio and Eli."

"Eli? I thought him and Mason like hated each other?

"They can be civil..sometimes."

I laughed. "Okay. I'm gonna change and then I'll watch the movie with you."

"Ight." He walked out of the kitchen and back to the living room. I walked to my room. I changed into a light pink tank top and grey yoga shorts. I let my hair down and it was wavy from the bun. Then I went to my vanity and fixed my makeup, grabbed and grabbed my phone.

"WHO WANTS POPCORN?" I yelled from my room.

All 4 of them did.

I walked into the game room and turned the popcorn machine on. From the closet I grabbed 2 bags or kernels and 5 bowls. I emptied the bags into the machine and waited for it to pop. As the popcorn was popping, I went on my private Instagram account. I only allowed my friends and family to follow me. I refreshed my feed and Cody's private account came up. It was a picture of him, from tonight. The caption said 'I can't believe I wasted my time on you.' That made a few tears drop.

I split the popcorn up equally and walked into the living room.

"Will one of you help me carry the pop corn in?" I asked.

"I will!" Mason, Eli, and Antonio all said in sync and they jumped up.

"Um?"

Logan rolled his eyes. "I'll help you." He got up and walked to the game room with me.

"Were Mason and Eli actually talking to each other? Without being forced to?"

"Well, it seems they can agree on one thing."

"What do you mean?"

He pick up three bowls, I picked up too.

"They both agree that you're.....very attractive."

I laughed. "Thank you for changing their exact words and making them more friendly."

He laughed. We gave all the boys their pop corn.

"Sophia, sit with me." Eli patted the seat next to him. He was sitting in the love seat.

"Noooo! Sit with me!" Mason patted his lap.
