Barely Friends (Unlikely Friends sequel)

Chapter 6- 2014

     It has been a week since Dan and my mother found out about Logan and I. Logan and I decided to end it, which neither of us are happy about, but, we had to do it.

     Jane, my mother, Dan, Logan and I walked into the studio. We found Scooter in my recording room. "Great Sophia, I'm glad you could come today. I have a great opportunity for you." We sat on the black leather couches. Jane and Scooter across from me and my family. "So as you know, you know have about 20-24 songs recorded and we are just in the process of choosing the ones that go on your album." He clapped his hands together and leaned forward. "You have your re-imagined album released, along with 4 singles that you have released." He paused for a moment. I had no clue what he was trying to get to.

     I saw Logan raise an eyebrow. "One Direction want's you to open for them on their 2014 tour." Scooter let out a deep breath, looking back and forth between Dan, my mother,and I. "Are You Serious?!?!?!?!?!?" I screeched. Scooter chuckled and Jane giggled. "Yes, 100% serious." Dan shook his head. "No." He stated as he pulled his blackberry out. "No what?" I questioned him. "No. I don't want you to go on that tour." He didn't even look up from his phone. I moved so that the way I was sitting, I was facing him more. "Why not? This could give me a huge jump into my career!" Dan put his phone back in his pocket. "Because I don't want you going on tour with 5 legal boys that I have never met. This is the end of the conversation Sophia." He was starting to raise his voice. I knew he didn't want me to tour with them because they were so much older than me. "Dan! 3 of them have a girl friend!"

     When he stood up I knew things were going to get serious. "SOPHIA! I said no. What about the other 2? Huh? They don't. I don't want you to do anything dumb. Because you just hop from guy to guy. You are not going on that tour. Do you understand me?" I knew he was getting pissed because of the tone he was using with me. "Yes Dan. I understand you. And how dare you say 'I hope from guy to guy'! And you aren't even my dad, so thecnically you have no controll over me." I smirked and crossed my arms, I stood up too.

     "Mom, do you see anything wrong with me going on tour with One Direction?" I looked at her with a hopeful look in my eyes. "Oh course not Sweetie! That is what I'm talking to Scooter about right now. We would get our own bus, and all of us could come along." She smiled because of what just happened. "Told ya Dan." I walked past him and into the recoding booth! "Come on Scooter! We need to record the intro and outro for the cd."

     Once I finished the intro and Outro, Scooter and I picked 13 of the 21 songs I had to choose from. We decided that the photo shoot for the cover would be a week from now and the location would be a surprise, but they insured me I would like it.

     "Sophia, You're grounded!"

Dan, Logan and I were driving back to our house from the studio, my mom was still there to work out the details. Logan and I were sitting in the back and Dan was driving.

"Um? What did I do?" I raised and eyebrow, confused. 

"Didn't your" "Piece of sh*t" he muttered so I could barely hear it. "father ever teach you not to talk back to people? Especially adults." He snapped at me.

I was shocked he brought up my father. He opened the gate to our driveway and we drove in.

"MAYBE HE WOULD'NT HAVE BEEN  A "PIECE OF SH*T FATHER" IF MY MOTHER DIDN'T"T LEAVE HIM FOR A PIECE OF SH*T LIKE YOU!" I yelled as I opened the car door and ran towards the gate.

"IT"S NOT MY FAULT HE WAS A DEAD BEAT DAD!" I heard him yell after me.

    I heard someone running behind me and sped up thinking it was Dan. An arm grabbed mine, and turned me around. Logan. I cried into his shoulder. "How dare he. Call my dad. A. Dead beat, Dad." I muttered between heavy breaths. "I'm sorry Sophie. I don't know what got into him." He pulled me closer to him, rubbing my back and playing with my hair.
