The Teacher

Chapter 2

Scotts P.O.V.

"How's your first day going so far?" Julie, a colleague of mine asked she was one of the few young teachers at this school

"It's going really well actually. It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be" I said with a chuckle she laughed "I completely understand how you feel I remember when I started my first day I felt like I was going to throw up" she said with a laugh, I smiled

"High school is as scary as I remember"

"Oh yeah" she said agreeing with me

After a couple minutes of silence I decided to ask something that's been eating me up all day

"Okay I have to ask. why did they really fire the teacher that was here before me?" She sighed "a female student field a complaint to the school board that Mike Darwin sexually assaulted her" me eyes widened

"Oh my god that's terrible" she nodded "after those allegations turned out to be extremely true the board found it necessary to investigate further and eventually found that he had been hitting on a student named Mitchell Grassi"

I nodded "yeah I heard about that part another teacher told me about it but she didn't mention the other part" I said she nodded

"Yeah for some reason the teachers around here don't talk about it much" she said shrugging her shoulders

"What can you tell me about Mitch Grassi? I have him in my 3rd period." Theirs something about this kid that's intoxicating and it keeps me wanting to know more and more about him

"I had him when he was a freshmen he's a very sweet boy and very smart, he sadly got bullied a lot when he came out as the first openly gay kid in the school" my ears perked up after hearing this information

"He's gay?" I asked confirming what I just heard "yes he is" I smiled

My mind soon started raising with different things that could occur if I got in any type of relation ship with this boy.

I shook my head to try and make the thoughts go away.

"Scott are you okay?" Julie asked concerned I nodded "yeah I'm fine" I told her with a smile the bell soon rang dismissing us from our lunch break so we could go back to class

"I uh I'll see you later?" I told Julie hurriedly rising from my seat "yeah sure bye Scott" "bye Julie"

I quickly left the teachers lounge and walked over to my classroom thoughts of Mitch still consuming my mind.
