The End

Mitch's p.o.v.

Shortly after my eighteen birthday Scott and I made the decision to move to Los Angeles, due to the fact I was already considered a legal adult in the state of Texas there was nothing the authorities could do to stop us.

"I'm leaving already," Scott's says coming into view from our shared bedroom in our apartment "don't forget Garret invited us over to dinner tonight!" I say giving him a kiss on the cheek once he's in front of me "I won't" he says with a smile pulling back

"Okay well I'm leaving before I'm late to work I'll see you tonight!" He shouts on his way out the door I giggle and shake my head.

After our move here Scott landed a job as a vocal coach and I continued my college education due to Scott not wanting me to give up on it before even starting no matter how much I insisted on helping to pay the bills.

Kirstin is one of the few people I stay remain in contact with from Arlington, her and Adriel to be exact are the only ones I communicate with. Him and his boyfriend broke up after dating for six months and Kirstin is dating a guy she met named Jeff.

My parents and I don't keep in a lot of contact due to the fact that the could never get over the fact that I chose to leave with Scott, but as sad as that sounds I couldn't be happier with the decisions I've made even though I wish things could've gone differently with my parents.

"Come on baby, come do homework with daddy" I say to our hairless cat who is meowing next to me I crouch down to grab him and cuddle him into my arms.

"I would like to say something" Scott says standing up from his chair at the dinner table

"Mitch, these past two years with you have been insane" he says making me and everyone else in the table laugh.

"When I first met you you were just an anti social senior with one crazy friend that had a crush on his teacher. everything changed for the both of us when you walked into my classroom but I'd relive it all of it all of it meant I got to spend the rest of my life with you"

I gasp suddenly realizing what was going on as he gets down on one knee and takes out a black, squared box from his pocket.

"So will you Mitchell Coby Michael Grassi do me the honor of marrying me" my hands raise to my face as tears roll down my face and I'm suddenly at a lost for words

"SAY YES QUEEN" our friend Jason yells from the table making us all laugh

I find myself nodding and taking Scott's hands in mine "yes I'll marry you" our friends erupted in cheers as I grabbed Scott and pulled him in for a passionate kiss we pull back and I wipe away the tears from my face.

He grabbed my hand and place a beautiful ring on my finger "here's to the beginning of the rest of our lives together"

Life brought us together in truly unusual circumstances but I really wouldn't have it any other way. Now I can say I'm going to spend the rest of my life with the man I love.
