Chapter 36

A/N I want to stop this story already I feel like I'm letting you all down with my sucky writing and bad updating schedule. I just don't feel confident with this story anymore
Mitch's p.o.v.

Lucas paced up and down the hallway anxiously as we waited to be told to head back into the court room, we weren't counting on me having to testify against Scott.

"Listen," he says coming to a sudden halt in front of me and grabbing me by my shoulder my eyes go left and right to where his hands were placed and I stare back up at the man

"there is no need for you to feel scared okay? Once the jury hears your side your side of events... that man will be locked up behind bars and you'll never have to see him again" I gulp and give him a nod

"I know what I have to do Luke, I'll be fine that you" I say giving him a reassuring smile

My eyes watched the police officer as he boredly chewed on his piece of gum and read from a paper that was on his clip board

"The court calls Mitchell Coby Michael Grassi to the stand"

Me eyes turn to Luke who gives me a reassuring smile and nods at me I stand and walk towards the officer

"do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you god?"

"I- I do"

"Please state your name for the record"

"Mitchell Coby Michael Grassi"

"Mr. Grassi when would you say your escapade with Mr.Hoying here started?" The judge asked as he adjusted the glasses that were falling from his nose

"Roughly a month or so after the second semester of the school year" I respond nervously and turned my attention to Scott.

For the first time, in a long time I really got the opportunity to analyze the mans face. He wasn't the same bubbly, confident blonde I had grown accustomed to seeing his gorgeous usually styled blonde hair was shaggy and very unkept. The blue bright eyes had grown to love so much were very dull and dead, he had dark bags under his eyes that made it seem like he hadn't slept in weeks. This wasn't the Scott I knew

"Did Mr.Hoying ever force you into anything you didn't want to do?" The judge asked to which I shook my head to "no your honor I was fully aware of what I was doing when I made advances towards my teacher"

There was murmuring going around the room at my response "Objection your honor!" My attorney says with his index and middle finger resting against his forehead

My parents look shocked and disgusted at my answer "Objection continue Mr. Grassi"

"If anything Mr.Hoying was always doing everything he could in his power to stop me from doing anything but I guess at one point we just fell for each other"

My eyes landed on Scott who gave a small smile.

"Your honor i would like to add as well that this isn't the first time Mr. Grassi has had an altercation with another teacher"

"Objection!" Luke says from the other side of the court room

"In what grounds counselor?"

"Again, irrelevant to the current event the situation with Michael Darwin was sexual harassment towards my client"

"Mr. Hoying never forced me into anything," the attention was turned to me as I spoke up again "he asked me every time if I was okay with whatever we had going on and no we never had any type of sexual relationship"

"30 minute recess by the time we come back I expect the jury to have a verdict"
