Scott's p.o.v.
"One thing you have to remember about this particular time period is that-"
A knock on the door captured the attention of my students and my own as I was forced to bring my lecture to an abrupt stop. The familiar face of principal Sweeney had appeared in the door frame I offered him a smile "Mr.Sweeney what a surprise! What can I do for you?" I ask he sighed "Mr.Hoying I need you to step out of your classroom," he says causing me to give him a puzzled look "now it's urgent" he continues I nod following his orders
"What can i help you with?" I ask as I step out of the classroom along side him "I need you to go to my office now" he instructed sternly "can i ask what this is about?" I ask confused "just do as I say I'll take care of your students.
"I-um- O-Okay" I say not really knowing what else to say "I really liked you Hoying you had a bright future" he says shaking his head before stepping into my classroom
Leaving me outside dumbfounded
As I silently walk to his office my head pounders with what the could have possibly be about and what he meant by those words I think about every outcome but THE one.
My worse fears suddenly appear in front of me as two police officers stand near the front office "Scott Richard Hoying?" An officer ask starring me up and down i nod "yes sir" he gives his parter a nod that the other returns and he comes behind me with hand cuffs in his hands
"You have the right to remain silent anything you say will be used against you in a court of law you have a right to an attorney if you can not afford an att-" my mind was suddenly blank as the police officer tightened the hand cuffs around me and recited the Miranda rights I had heard countless times on Tv Shows never thinking I would have to personally hear them
My head turns to see Stacy, the office secretary in tears shaking her head at the scene and Adriel's boyfriend Juan Luis, starring with his mouth opened in confusion
"I said do you understand these rights?!" The officer shouts forcefully turning my head to face him "yes sir" I say with a gulp.
We knew all along this was a possible outcome now I have to man up and face the consequences to my actions.
