Lisa's POV

Oh my goodness. I never knew Dani felt like that. I mean I guess I knew that she wasn't the favourite of the group, but I just don't know what to say.

I stepped towards her, tears pouring down my cheeks in guilt and sorrow, 'Dani, we're sorry you feel that way, but-'

'Don't Lisa. I'm sick of this. I need to go.' Dani cut across me, I had never seen this side of her before. I feel so bad I didn't notice how unhappy she was before, I'm the worst sister ever.

Lauren's POV

I stared in horror as Dani, my sister, my best friend, interrupted Lisa and stopped her in her tracks.

I should have realised.

I tried to console Dani who looked so helpless and vulnerable as she cried and shook, but at the same time she looked so determined and defiant, unpredictable.

'Dani, we can all sit down and talk about this calmly.' I said in my gentlest voice.

'No! I'm sick of everyone trying to boss me around and tell me what to do. I may be one of the youngest here but I still have feelings and I am capable.' Dani spoke quietly, but with venom as I felt her direct her words at me. Me?

Dani turned and ran to the gate out of our house leading to the road and we all ran after her, trying to stop her.

She ran to the middle of the road and turned to face us.

'I can't be here anymore. I'm leaving.' Dani said to us as the family stood there staring at her, too shocked to try to talk her out of it.

Dani turned and without looking stepped into the lane of traffic on the other side of the road.

She made it two steps before there was a squeal of brakes and a car slammed into her at full speed.
