Most of the day passed as a blur. The same old, boring routine, and the rest of the day was sure to be the same. At least, thats what I thought...
Halfway through English ( we were studying poems by Edgar Allan Poe, my FAVE! ), a boy came in holding a note and went straight to our English teacher, Ms. Ronda.
I couldn't see much of him because he had his back to the class, but there was something about the way his dark brown hair curled at the nape of his neck that seemed familiar. In fact, the way he held himself seemed familiar.
After a couple of minutes talking with Ms. Ronda, he turned around. And it hit me. He seemed so familiar because.. because... he was my 'prince'!
"Class, may I have your attention please," said Ms. Ronda. "This is your new classmate. He's new here so get to know him and show him around". I was too busy gawking at him that I wasn't really listening to Ms. Ronda introduce him.
"You can sit over there," she said to him, pointing to a desk two places to my right. He nodded and went over to sit down.
It took a lot of restraint on my part to not stare at him. Instead, I focused my attention on the poem in front of me. Ironically, it was entitled 'Dreams'.
"Now, I need someone to read the poem, 'Dreams', out loud. Any volunteers?" she asked, looking around. Everyone immediately stared at their books intently. A common response when a teacher asks for volunteers.
I pitied her and raised my arm slowly, but someone beat me to it. It was HIM.
