I laid in bed and closed my eyes, waiting for sleep to come so that I may meet my price in the world of dreams.
Just to be clear, I was completely aware that the 'prince' is just a figment of my imagination. Totally not real.
But I couldn't help but wonder, in a corner of my mind, that somehow he WAS real. Somehow the dreams that I had with him in it, WERE real.
Sleep overcame me and I succumbed to the familiar feeling of 'those' kind of dreams... The dreams with him.
I opened my eyes and there he was, standing just a heartbeat away in the meadow where we always met. He gave me one of his charming smiles and took my hand in his.
"You have returned, my love," he said.
I nodded. "As I always do."
He glanced at his watch. "A little early today, aren't you?", he said, staring at me with those intense blue eyes.
I blushed slightly. "I couldn't wait to see you", I mumbled.
He poked my waist and I let out a small squeal. "Again with the mumbling. Tsk, tsk", he said, smiling cheekily. "Now, what is it that you said?"
"I said, I couldn't wait to see you". I pulled my hair forward to cover part of my face.
"Well, I couldn't wait to see you either." He reached out and tucked my hair behind my ear. " There. That's better. I prefer to look at your beautiful face."
"Oh, stop it you,", i said, as I swatted at him. My face was tomato red by now. He chuckled at me and I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Okay, okay. Let's go!"
I cocked my head to one side. "Where?" I asked. We had never gone anywhere before. We had always stayed in the meadow, so this was kinda new to me.
"To my castle, of course," he said, beaming. I burst into a fit of giggles.
"Your... Castle?", I managed to gasp out.
"What's so funny?", he asked looking a little confused.
"The fact that you have a castle. And that you're inviting me over," I said, grinning. "I mean, I don't even know your name".
"That's because I haven't told you yet".
"Then tell me," I said, taking a step closer to him.
