*** At Night ***
Usually, when I have one of 'those' dreams, I'm always in the meadow, but this time I was somewhere I'd never been before. And let me tell you, it was downright scary!
Not because I had never been there before, but more towards the vibe of the place.
Imagine the forest from 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves' (the Disney one), where Snow White is running away from the hunter, deep into the forest. Okay, now multiply that ten times and you'll get what I mean.
A dark and scary forest filled with dead trees with gnarled trunks ; their branches extended towards you as though to grab you when your back is turned.
And to make it worse, I could see eyes staring back at me. Creepy, slanted eyes that held a sense of intelligence.
I shuddered. I didn't even want to think what those eyes belong to. I had to get out of there. Out of this nightmare and into my usual dream.
"Hello? Anyone out there?", I called out. Now, I know what you're gonna say, Don't call out! Don't call out!. Yes, I am clearly aware of what happens in horror movies when people call out and something unpleasant ( to say the least ) replies, but what other options did I have. I couldn't go wandering around into an unknown forest. ESPECIALLY with those glittery, eyes watching my every move.
I was getting really creeped out. A wolf ( at least I think it was a wolf) started howling in the distance, and that added to my fear as I imagined predators ( the animal kind ) hiding in the shadows, waiting to pounce on me.
Suddenly, I heard a sharp 'crack'. The kind you hear when a twig snaps. I turned around slowly, expecting a fearsome creature.
