First things first : I am so sorry to everyone who has been reading my stories. I apologise for not updating in such a looooong time. I've been caught up with school work and stuff; I'm sure you understand how it's like. I've hardly had enough time to do anything, much-less write. I've uploaded a slightly longer chapter to make up for it.

Thanks a million to all of you for still wanting to read my stories. Leave a comment about what you think about the story, or if you have any ideas you'd like to share about how the story should go. And if you really, REALLY liked it, don't hesitate to give it a 'like' ~ :)X

Now on with the story...

====================================================================

The whole day passed by and we didn't see Luka.

"Maybe he's sick?" Jin suggested, when we were driving back.

"Maybe" , I mumbled.

"Mind if I hang out here a bit?", Jin asked when we reached my house.

I nodded. "Of course! What kind of question is that?", I said, bumping her with my hip, as we walked up to the door. "You're always welcome here, you know that."

"I know," she said with a cheeky grin. "I just like to see you get worked up about it".

I huffed at her and opened the door. "Honey, I'm home!"

"Honey's in the kitchen! It doesn't care about you anymore cos it's cheating on you with the bread!" , came a reply from the living room. Jin and I went in and saw my mum curled up on the couch reading a book.

"Hello, girls! How was school?" she asked, with a bright smile.

"The usual," Jin replied, with a slight shrug. Mum nodded. She was used to those kind of answers by now.

"We'll be up in my room if you need anything", I told her as we climbed up the stairs. My mum just waved us off as she got back to her book.

We spent about half an hour trying to tackle Math equations, when we finally gave up and decided to take a break. We went down to raid the kitchen and satisfy our cravings for something sugary. By the time we got back to my room, we were stuffed with cookies and 'Ben and Jerry's Rocky Road Ice Cream'. Unlike the supermodel wannabe's in our school, Jin and I didn't care what we ate, as long as it was food and it was delicious.

We were flaked out on my bed when we saw the air in front of us shimmering.

"Do you see what I see?" Jin asked, rubbing her eyes.

" A sort of shimmering in the space in front of us?"

"Uh-huh".

"Maybe it's some kind of hallucination induced from consuming too much sugar?"

Well, that theory went flying out the window when someone appeared out of the shimmering place. Jin and I screamed for all we were worth and threw whatever we could get our hands on, at the figure.

"OW! Hey! Cut that out! It's me, Luka!"

"Luka?" I said, confused. I put down the hardcover encyclopedia I was about to throw at him.

Jin obviously hadn't heard him because she just kept screaming and throwing things. My pillow. My teddy bear. My pencil case. Our Math books. They all hit Luka right on. I stopped her when she picked up my bedside lamp.

"JIN! JIN! It's Luka!", I shouted at her, as I gripped her by her arms and shook her. There was a flicker of recognition in her eyes and she calmed down a little. She sat down on the bed with a 'thump'.

"He just... Out of thin air... 'Poof'... Like magic...". She was rambling like a crazy person.

"Take a deep breath", I encouraged her.

She took a deep, shuddering breath, and looked straight at me. "That's not possible."

"And yet he's standing here" , I gestured at Luka, who was standing in the corner of my room; as far away as he could get from Jin. Luka gave her a little wave. Her eyes widened and she prepared to let out another scream. I covered her mouth with my hand and told her to chill out. I turned my attention to Luka.

"Your friend seems to be taking this quite well", Luka snickered.

I rolled my eyes. "What do you expect? You can't just appear out of thin air and expect her to be perfectly calm."

"But you're calm. You're not freaked out?"

"Nope!" I said shaking my head. "I'm actually excited."

"Excited?" . He cocked his head to the side. "Explain."

"Well, you appearing means that last night was real. That everything was real, and I'm not just some raving lunatic." I turned to Jin. "See! I told you I'd prove it to you!"

"He's not your dream prince" , she said flatly.

"He is."

"He's a vampire. They have powers, you know. I bet that's how he appeared. He can become invisible, and he's posing as your dream prince just so he can drink your blood. Kill you. That's his plan". Jin said, matter-of-fact, glaring at Luka.

"Wait... What?!? You believe that he's a vampire but not that's he's my dream prince?!" I stared at her, mouth agape.

"A vampire is more logical than your wacko theory", she said, with a shrug; still glaring at poor Luka.

" So you told her about our dreams?", Luka questioned.

I folded my arms. "Of course I told her. She's my best friend!"

"Okay"

"So why are you here, anyway? In my room? Hmmmh?"

"Just dropping in," he said with a cheeky smile.

I arched an eyebrow at him and tapped my foot. "I want the truth. The whole truth and nothing but the truth."

He rolled his eyes. "Honest! I came to explain things to you. Since I didn't go to school today, and I'm sure you have a million questions about last night, I thought I'd drop by. I just wasn't expecting her to be here," he motioned his head to where Jin was rummaging through my bedside drawers.

"Yea, about that, Why weren't you in school today?", I looked at him questioningly.

"I had official business to attend. Papers to sign and stuff like that. Things that require - HEY!"

"That require hay?" I was confused. Then I realized that he said 'hey' and not 'hay' , and the reason he stopped was because Jin was poking him with a sharp pencil. "JIN!!! What are you doing!?" I dragged her over to the bed and made her sit.

"Trying to see if he was real or if he was just a hallucination", she replied, looking positively angelic (something she could pull off really well).

I shook my head exasperatedly and apologized to Luka on her behalf. "I'm sorry, I don't know what's wrong with her. She's normally well behaved".

"You make it sound like I'm some pet that misbehaved", Jin grumbled.

I shot her a look and didn't bother to reply her.
