Once Upon A Dream... [DISCONTINUED]

Chapter 11

I was left standing there in that creepy forest; lost and unsure of which direction to head to, when I heard a low growling.

I turned around, and saw a silver wolf stalking towards me ; its sharp fangs bared.

I didn't think calling it a 'good doggie' and asking it to heel would work. Hell, knowing my luck, it'll probably understand me and get offended.

I saw a nearby branch that looked pretty solid so I grabbed it.Wrong move! Instead of making the wolf hesitant to approach me, it only made it angrier. But I wasn't going to drop the branch, it was my only weapon against it.

It circled me and I held the branch in front of me as I followed its every movement, making an inner circle of my own.

"I have a weapon and I'm not afraid to use it", I said, waving the heavy branch as threateningly as I could.

The wolf snarled viciously and lunged at me. I moved to the side at the last minute, and the wolf sailed past me, harmlessly. It landed on its paws and quickly turned around only to growl and circle me again.

The silver wolf lunged at me again but this time I didn't manage to get out of its way quick enough. It bit into my arm and held on.

I screamed in pain as I felt its teeth sink into my flesh. I started hitting it with the branch that I still held in my one free arm, but that didn't deter it.

It chomped harder and I could feel my blood flowing freely from my arm. I let out another scream, hoping someone would hear me.

Suddenly, I heard someone approaching quickly.

"Enough! Let her go!"
