BRING!
The lunch bell rang loudly as a hungry mob of students toppled out of the science lab.
It was your third day at Iwatobi High School.
You had met barely any students that you could even consider being possible friends. The school was filled with two times the amount of hallways and rooms than your previous one, which confused you immensely.
Even though you were getting used to the unfamiliarity, you decided to do a bit of exploring through the school during this lunch period.
You squeezed through the hoard of students, opened your locker and grabbed your lunch as quickly as possible to escape the crowd.
These students act like wild animals, you thought.
You scurried into the girls bathroom before heading out to look around to ensure the hallways were clear. You stepped out and noticed your surroundings had nobody in sight and it was silent.
You shuffled through a hallway that was laced with strips of lockers and wide windows glaring with sunlight. The hallway was exactly the same as any other one, but you acknowledged one difference that distinguished it from the rest.
A slim rusty door that was at the end of the hall.
You felt intrigued to see what was on the other side and decided to completely ignored the consequences.
You advanced towards the door, twisted the knob and slowly opened it. You peaked your head out before irrationally swinging it open like you usually would.
There was a steep, wooden staircase leading up towards another door from what you could see.
Once again, your curiosity got the best of you.
You made your way up each creaky step, trying to remain silent to be certain you wouldn't be caught.
A line of sunlight peaked from the side of door at the top as you drew closer. You pushed the door slightly open and found yourself staring at a blue, crystal clear pool.
A pool? What's this even for?
The water appeared to be untouched and refreshing even though you weren't physically in it.
You smiled with delight, feeling the nostalgia rush back into your mind. You embraced the memories of your days of competitive swimming, realizing how much you missed it.
Without thinking, you walked towards the pool, flicked off your hideous pair of slippers the school mandated, rolled your uniforms skirt up slightly and dipped your feet into the cold water.
How long has it really been...
You grabbed your backpack and took out the smoked ham and provolone sandwich you made earlier. You took a huge bite and felt the flavour tingle in your mouth.
"You've done it again! That's one good ass sandwich!" You said out loud by mistake.
Except nobody was around, so it didn't matter.
"We have an intruder!" A boys voice yelled from behind you. "Reveal yourself!"
You stood up with a huge chunk of bread between your lips and turned around to see four teenage boys, wearing Iwatobi High School uniforms.
