"Flirting: it always works!" Frisk giggled at how Chara was still flustered. Their cheeks still glowed a bright red.

"Yes, I was there when you flirted yourself out of the underground." Chara responded.

"You were?"

"Yeah, what do you think I was doing? Waiting for you to do a genocide run? Well, yes, but I wasn't just floating around in subspace. When you fell down here, your determination alone made me come back to life, but in a spiritual form. And I've been watching you ever since."

"Wow..." Was the only way Frisk could respond.

"Yeah-" A Vegetoid popped up from the ground, startling Chara, "AH!" They jumped into Frisk's arms. "SON OF A BITCH!"

"Language, Chara," Frisk said. Chara turned towards them, and they smiled cheesily. "Howdy."

Chara screamed, their cheeks heating up even more, and jumped out of Frisk's arms. "That never happened..." Chara said in a disturbed tone.

"You're adorable when you blush," Frisk couldn't help but comment.

"Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!" Chara yelled, covering their ears and somehow becoming even more red.

Frisk chuckled, "Sorry, didn't mean to make you mad."

Chara growled, whirling around and heading back to Toriel's house. "I'm going home."

"Wait, Chara! C'mon, don't you wanna explore more? It gets kinda boring just staying at home." Chara froze in their steps, then slowly turned their head towards Frisk. Chara sighed, embarrassed of what they were about to offer.

"I have something to show you. Follow me." Chara began to walk, Frisk following without argument. They soon came across the room with the four frogs, at the spot where the tiny, fourth frog was hidden. Chara rubbed her hands against the wall, in search of something, then, finally, a brick pushed in, and a passage opened up.

"Whoa..." Frisk gasped.

"Asriel and I used to use this when we were grounded..." Chara explained. "This goes straight to the tunnels in Snowdin."

"Why are you showing me this?"

Chara sighed, "Because if Asriel and I got bored of staying in the ruins, I know you will too." They began to walk through the pathway. Frisk stood frozen in awe. "You comin' or what?"

Frisk snapped back into attention, then hurried after Chara.

Frisk knew they hit Snowdin when a wave of cold air came over them. Chara began to shiver, wrapping their hands around their arms. The cold didn't bother Frisk, as they were used to it. Chara began to walk slower, Frisk passing them. "F-Frisk..." Chara called, a cloud of air appearing from their mouth, "A-Aren't you c-c-cold?"

"Nope," Frisk replied, " I backtracked here a lot, so I guess I'm used to it. I thought you said you and Asriel used to use this tunnel a lot?"

As they emerged from the igloo tunnel near Sans and Papyrus' house, Chara said, "I-It's been a wh-while since I've b-been here..."

Frisk looked back at Chara, their nose beginning to turn red from the cold. Then they sneezed. Frisk didn't want them to get sick. "We can go back, if you want."

"Then I'll n-n-never get used t-to the cold. Let's k-keep going..." Frisk looked at Chara worriedly, then began to walk around and explore. As they walked around Snowdin, Frisk spotted Papyrus and Sans.

"TODAY'S THE DAY, SANS!" Papyrus beamed, "I WILL CAPTURE A HUMAN TODAY! I HAVE A GOOD FEELING!"

"you feel it, in your bones?" Sans joked, making Papyrus groan.

"JOKE ALL YOU WANT, BROTHER, I WILL CAPTURE A HUMAN TODAY!"

Chara sneered, "I h-hate these two..." Then they sneezed, making the skeletons turn towards Chara and Frisk.

"OOOHHH, WHAT DID I TELL YOU, BROTHER?"

"uhh, that you'd capture a human. i see two, bro."

"NUMBERS MEAN NOTHING, BROTHER! HUMANS ARE HUMANS, AND I WILL CAPTURE THEM ALL THE SAME! BUT WAIT! I MUST GO READY THE PUZZLES! WAIT HERE, HUMANS!" Papyrus ran off like an excited child on Christmas.

Sans turned towards Chara and Frisk, "just play along. papyrus has been a little down lately. he hasn't called himself great once today. you'll be fine: he isn't that dangerous, despite how much he tries to be." Then he followed after Papyrus.

Frisk turned towards Chara, who sneezed. "Will you be alright...?"

"Fine." Chara sniffed, "I'm not a little kid. I can survive a little cold."

Frisk gave one last concerned look, then went on and followed after the skelebros.

After going through Sans and Papyrus'(mostly Papyrus') puzzles, Frisk was exhausted, and Chara's sneezing was more violent then ever. Frisk knew they had to get home soon. As they passed over the bridge where the gauntlet that Papyrus refused to activate was set -- Frisk letting Chara walk in front of them -- they passed by Sans.

"here's a tip about fighting my brother. don't. capiche?"

Frisk put up a thumbs up, and Chara sneezed. "We should get home..." Frisk said, finally voicing their concern.

"What? Why?" Chara said, not wanting to admit they were sick.

"Because," Frisk said as they made it back to Snowdin, "I'm tired. You must be too."

"I'm not." Chara sneezed. "Let's fight that idiot and get it over with."

"Mom's probably worried about us..."

That made Chara give in. "Ugh...fine..." They began to walk through the tunnels, back to the ruins, "And I know neither of those are the real reason we're going back. You just think I'm," Chara sneezed, "sick."

"You are sick. The sooner we get home, the sooner you can rest, the sooner you heal."

"I'm...not..." Chara suddenly collapsed to the ground.

Frisk quickly ran towards them, "Chara?" They didn't respond. "Chara!" Frisk picked them up, then hurried back to the ruins.

Then, a horrible memory passed through their mind. "The human became horribly ill. The next day, the human died."

Frisk turned their fast walk into a run.
