Chapter 22:Part 10

Shrewpaw's POV

I looked up from my spot in the sun to see two RiverClan cats padding in and Dawnstripe trailing behind with dull eyes reflecting horror. I looked closer to realize in horror that a dead looking Tallpaw was on their backs. I watched as they slowly crouched and Dawnstripe slowly slid Tallpaw down from their backs. Everycat was staring and Heatherstar asked why those cats were in the camp. I stopped listening and went to my nest and fell asleep. I woke up and went to the medicine den. There was nobody there but I dicided to see Tallpaw. He was splayed out in his nest and Barkpaw had just left. I nudged his legs back in his nest and smoothed his pelt. I sat in there for a little bit to see if he would wake up. He didn't so I left and went to groom myself when every one else was sharing tongues. I looked up to see Tallpaw staring at me. He looked away and sat down. He looked around looking pleased and flopped down to start carefully start grooming himself. Then he saw Palebird and got up and made his way towards her. He licked her ear and licked his chest. Palebird started grooming him and I groomed myself.
