Tallpaw's POV
I slipped into unconsciousness and woke up later still in the clearing with a nest around me. Palebird was keeping watch while being curled around me. That whole time I didn't stop shaking and it hurt so much. My memory came back slowly and with every name I slowly stopped shaking. I raised my head and Palebird turned hers to look at me. I saw fear and happiness in her eyes. I lowered my head and her gaze turned anxious. I closed my eyes slowly then opened them. I raised my head again and Woollytail was next to Palebird talking to her about me from what I could hear in the buzzing and muffled mews. He saw me raise my head and stopped talking to look at me. Palebird turned too and saw me and her gaze filled with happiness. I struggled to sit up and Woollytail slowly raised me up and supported me up. "T-Thank you W-Woollytail." I mewed. I suddenly got happy because I remembered Woollytail. "Woollytail, Palebird, Barkpaw, Hawkheart, Shrewpaw. I remember your names." I was very happy but Woollytail and Palebird were confused. "What do you mean you remembered?" Woollytail asked. "I couldn't remember any cat's names but I remembered Palebird because seeing her made me remember the nursery and her." Woollytail and Palebird were happy because I remembered them. I slowly got up and stumbled to the medicine den. "Hawkheart and Barkpaw probably want to keep an eye on me." Palebird nodded and I slipped into the den. Barkpaw looked up from sorting his herbs and when he saw me his eyes filled up with happiness. He ran to meet me and we touched muzzles. Then Barkpaw stepped back and looked at me. He asked if I remembered him. "Yes I do. For that time I had lost my memory. Then when I had been unconscious at the hollow I got my memory back." I mewed, my voice still a bit cracked. Barkpaw was happy and I said hi to Hawkheart then went to go sit down outside the den. I looked around and was pleased with the place that I lived in. Then I saw Shrewpaw. He was grooming outside the apprentice's den. I slowly stumbled towards him. He saw me and growled deep in his throat softly. That confused me and I sat down trying to remember what I did to him. Then I remembered. He must have seen the regret and sorrow in my gaze and stopped and slowly padded towards me. I looked away and scooted away. "I'm sorry Shrewpaw. I-I...." I lowered my head. Shrewpaw padded over and forgave me. "Thanks. I just started seeing Sparrow's pelt beneath me and tried to kill him which almost killed you and Dawnstripe and Hareflight were Reena and Algeron and dragged me off you and I ran off and-" "It's okay Tallpaw. I heard about you crossing the stream and what happened until you were carried into the camp." Shrewpaw cut me off. I searched Shrewpaw's gaze and saw nothing but forgiveness. "Thank you." I touched my nose to his. I never noticed but my legs were trembling from exhaustion. Every noise was a muffled buzz and my vision became fuzzy again. I staggered from being so tired. "Whoa, Tallpaw. Come and lay down in your nest. I missed your company." Shrewpaw lead me to my nest in the apprentice's den. I sank into the nest and slipped into sleep. My dreams were filled with darkness and yowling of Sandgorse. Sandgorse kept on yowling help and I tried scrabbling through the mud and water to get to Sandgorse. "SANGORSE! SANDGORSE! I'M COMING!" I kept yowling. Then I was shaken awake.
