Chapter 22:Part 15

Tallpaw's POV

I was woken up a bit later when cats started getting up and and walking to the Meeting Hollow. I slowly got up and so did Palebird and the other cat. They gently lead me to the edge and I sat down heavily. A cat was in the hollow and I looked at her. I didn't recognize her but somewhere in my head I knew that I knew her. I crouched and soon her talking turned into buzzing. This confused me and I sat up wondering why there was buzzing. Palebird must have seen my movement and confused face and turned to look at me with a question on her face. I pawed at my ears and she seemed to understand. She got up and got that cat who had put the herbs in my ears. The tom lead me away and sat me down. It looked like he asked a question but I couldn't tell because things were still fuzzy. He seemed to read my mind and touched my ear with a paw with a silent question on his face. (Your ears?) I nodded. "B-B-buzzing." I mewed. He nodded and seemed pleased that I had gotten a full word out. He padded toward his den and I padded a little bit toward the Meeting Hollow. I sat down and then my forelegs started shaking. I got confused and nervous and whimpered a bit. No cat heard me. Then my back legs and body started shaking. This scared me even more and I whimpered louder. Palebird seemed to hear me because she looked around and saw me shaking with fear on my face and in my scent. I don't know how but I heard her yowl "Tallpaw!" and run towards me. I remembered my name finally but I don't remember anybody else but Palebird. More cats saw me and were scared by the way their faces looked. The smaller cat I know as Barkpaw, a medicine cat apprentice, thrust his way through. He said something to the others and they all stood back. I looked at him with fear. Darkness crowded at the edges of my vision and black spots danced across my eyes. I started swaying although I was still shaking. Palebird thrust through and lowered me to the ground and laid down next to me.
