Tallpaw's POV
I woke up again and everything was still just a bit fuzzy but I could tell rocks from pebbles, ferns from herbs, cats from boulders. I could move my legs and I struggled into a sitting postition. I looked around and saw a cat looking into an alclove. The cat looked at me and told me to lay down again. But it was so muffled I couldn't understand it. The cat didn't have anything in it's mouth so I wondered why it was so muffled. I just cocked my head to the side confused. The cat looked like he sighed then padded over and gently lowered me into my nest. He padded away and came back with some herbs. He put some in front of me and speared one and put it in my mouth. I understood and crouched to eat the others. While I was eating the herbs the cat was putting herbs in my ears which stung and made me yelp. But why the cat was putting herbs in my ears confused me. Somecat must have heard my yelp because she slipped in. I took one look at the she-cat and stared. (Palebird) I opened my mouth. Nothing came out. I tried again and I got this "P-P-pale.." I couldn't even say her name right. My eyes stung with unshed tears of emotion of not being able to say my mother's name. I took a step, then another. I stumbled and almost fell but picked myself back up. I made it over to Palebird and nuzzled her. She said something I didn't hear because of the herbs and my ears not working. "I love you, Palebird." I whispered. She looked at me with love. She turned me around and lead me back to my nest. I stumbled along and I saw the other cat's face filled with astonisment. I purred softly in amusment. As I sank into my nest and started to fall asleep I saw Palebird talk to the other cat.
