Chapter 25
Princess Emily's P.O.V.
Nathan and I were riding through the kingdom. All the guards and princes were following us. When we reached the boarder, Louis and Eleanor sat on their unicorns facing us.
"This is it. This decides which kingdom is the strongest and most powerful," Eleanor began.
"So lets beat these peasants and get Princess Bridget back! FOR THE LAND OF HERE!" Louis exclaimed. We all cheered. They turned and we charged into their kingdom.
There were guards ready to fight us. They charged at us as well. I knocked off every single one of them of their horses. Nothing will get in the way of me rescuing my daughter.
I was almost to the palace, when Nigel had fallen.
"I'm hurt, Princess. I'm sorry," he said.
"Nigel, it's not your fault. I'll help you out. Don't worry. When this is over, you'll be as good as new," I said.
"Yeah, that's only gonna happen if you're still alive," an all too familiar voice said. I stood up with my hand on my sword.
"Hello Tom. Nice to see you one last time. Before I kill you!" I screamed and charged at him.
He fought back. He was good. He taught me almost everything I know.
"I know you have her. I'll stop at nothing to get her back."
"That's only if you survive."
"Why are you doing this? Why are you still with her after how she treats you?"
"Because I'm not a traitor!"
"I am not!" I knocked him down and pointed my sword at him. "You know why I left. And if you were a good brother you'd help me." He laid there for a moment just thinking. I wonder what was going through his mind. Finally he looked up and said,
"Alright. Follow me."
He led me into the castle. It was the same as it was fifteen years ago when I left. This palace was much smaller than ours.
We finally made our way into the dungeons. They were much dirtier than ours and there were rats. It was dark so Tom got a lantern. We stopped at a cell door.
"This is it. Her and the other girl are in here," he said. He unlocked the door and I gasped.
The room was empty.
